Levels Dog Groomers – Terms & Conditions By booking an appointment with Levels Dog Groomers, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Health & Welfare Owners must ensure their dog is fit, healthy, and suitable for grooming. Grooming may reveal underlying health conditions, and Levels Dog Groomers cannot be held responsible for pre-existing conditions that become apparent during or after grooming. For the safety of your dog, I cannot groom dogs that are: * Pregnant * Nursing puppies * In season Please let me know before your appointment if this applies. Dogs with active ear infections, open wounds, contagious skin conditions, or other untreated health concerns cannot be groomed until cleared by a vet. Ongoing conditions that have been approved by your vet are accepted. If I believe your dog requires urgent veterinary treatment while in my care, I will attempt to contact you immediately. If I cannot reach you, I reserve the right to seek veterinary treatment on your behalf. * Owners are responsible for veterinary costs relating to pre-existing or medical conditions. * If an injury is caused directly by my negligence, I will cover the associated veterinary costs. * If an injury occurs due to circumstances outside my control (such as sudden movements, severe matting, or an unexpected medical episode), I will assist towards veterinary costs where appropriate. Owner Responsibilities Owners must disclose any medical, behavioural, or physical conditions before grooming. Failure to do so may result in refusal of service. Owners are responsible for ensuring their dog is up to date with flea prevention, worming, and vaccinations before attending appointments. Please inform me of any changes to your dog’s health or your contact details before each appointment. Behaviour & Safety If a dog becomes aggressive or cannot be safely groomed, I may stop the groom. Owners remain responsible for any injury or damage caused by their dog’s behaviour. I do not administer sedation. I will only accept dogs given over-the-counter calming products or sedatives that do not require veterinary monitoring. Appointments & Cancellations * A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations will lose their deposit. * No-shows will lose their deposit and repeated no-shows may result in refusal of future bookings. * Arrivals over 15 minutes late may result in the appointment being shortened, changed, rescheduled, or cancelled. * Dogs must be collected at the agreed collection time. Dogs collected more than 15 minutes late may incur a £5 late collection fee. Pricing Prices are based on the information provided when booking. If your dog’s breed, size, coat condition, temperament, or grooming requirements differ from those described, appointment length and price may change. Grooming times are estimates and may vary depending on your dog’s needs. Matting Your dog’s welfare always comes first. If matting cannot be safely brushed out without causing pain or distress, I will clip the affected areas or clip off the whole coat depending on severity. A de-matting fee of £5–£10 may apply depending on severity. Removing heavily matted coats can reveal or cause skin irritation, small nicks, cuts, or temporary sensitivity. By proceeding with the groom, you acknowledge these risks and consent to mat removal where necessary. Fleas Dogs known to have fleas should not attend appointments. If fleas are found during grooming: * A mandatory flea bath (£10)will be given. * Severe infestations may result in the groom being stopped. * Additional cleaning charges may apply if extensive salon sanitisation is required. Photos & Social Media I may take photographs or videos of your dog for records, training, or promotional purposes. No personal information or your dog’s name will be shared. If you do not wish your dog’s images to be used, please let me know before your appointment or opt out on the check-in form.
