Welcome to Manaaki Massage Kia ora, I’m Clara, the founder and therapist behind Manaaki Massage - a practice dedicated to offering compassionate, effective, and intuitive bodywork. The name Manaaki comes from the Māori word meaning to care, support, respect, and uplift, and it’s at the heart of everything I do. My approach to massage is guided by a deep sense of intuition - listening to both your body and mine, allowing me to work with the flow of energy and tension in a way that is both purposeful and healing. I specialise in: Deep Tissue & Trigger Point Therapy: Helping to release chronic tension, pain, and stress. Myofascial Release: A gentle, intuitive approach to release tight fascia and restore flexibility and mobility. Relaxation Massage: Designed to calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote a profound sense of relaxation. Every session is tailored to your specific needs. By tuning into your body’s signals, I work to unlock areas of discomfort and restore balance. My work isn’t just about addressing physical symptoms, but also about cultivating a space where you can truly relax and reconnect with yourself. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me on the Fiordland trails, running, hiking, biking, or swimming — activities that allow me to recharge and reconnect with nature. The energy and clarity I gain from these outdoor pursuits flow into my practice, deepening my intuition and ability to provide care.
