Hi, I’m Lex, the face behind Paws For Thought! 🥰🐶

I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for throughout their appointment. 🤎

I offer a calm, friendly and personal one-to-one grooming experience, taking the time to get to know each dog and their individual needs. Whether your pup is coming in for a bath and brush, full groom, deluxe groom or puppy groom, I’ll always put their comfort and wellbeing first. ✂️🐾

With 4 years of grooming experience, City & Guilds qualifications, first aid training and full insurance, you can feel confident that your pup is in caring and capable hands.

I’m passionate about making every visit a positive experience for both you and your pup, with plenty of care, patience and attention to detail. 🥰

🐾 Paws For Thought – Booking Policies & Terms 🐾

Thank you so much for choosing Paws For Thought! 🥰 These simple policies help me keep appointments running smoothly and make sure I can give every dog the time, care and attention they deserve. 🐶🤎

💳 New Client Bookings

For new clients booking with Paws For Thought for the first time, a one-off £20 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This comes off the total cost of your groom, so it isn’t an extra charge. 🥰

Once your booking has been received, I’ll contact you with my bank details regarding the deposit. If your appointment is more than 2 weeks away, there’s no need to pay the deposit straight away. I’ll still contact you at the time of booking and remind you nearer the time if the deposit is still to be paid. Your appointment will be fully secured once the deposit has been received. 🐾

If your appointment is booked less than 48 hours before the appointment time, no deposit is required, including last-minute bookings made up to 1 hour before the appointment. 🤎

The deposit is normally a one-off. If there have been late cancellations, missed appointments or repeated changes to bookings, I may ask for a further deposit to secure a future appointment.

If you’d prefer to book directly with me, you’re always welcome to message me and I can arrange your appointment personally. 🤎

📅 Cancellations & Rescheduling

I completely understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 48 hours’ notice wherever possible. This gives me the chance to offer your appointment to someone else. 🐾

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments/no-shows, may incur a 100% charge of the scheduled service. If the charge applies, it will be manually processed using the payment card held on file.

I understand that sometimes things happen that are outside of your control. If you have a family emergency or another genuine unforeseen circumstance, the cancellation fee may not apply. Please let me know as soon as possible and I’ll always do my best to be understanding. 🤎

🐶 Grooming & Welfare

If a dog is heavily matted, distressed, or their coat or behaviour means the booked service cannot be safely completed, I may need to alter the service or stop the groom where necessary. I’ll always discuss this with you wherever possible.

⏰ Arriving on Time

Please try your best to arrive on time. Arriving late may mean there isn’t enough time to complete the full service, and your appointment may need to be rescheduled.

My dog yogi badly needed a groom and lex did a fantastic job. Yogi came out looking great and was a much happier dog after his groom. 

Darsea looked amazing after his groom and Lex was fantastic with him,  I will definitely book him in in the future 

Both my dogs were groomed by Lex. This is their 2nd time and the attention to detail she provides is absolutely fantastic! Kindness and caring is second to none. She spends lots of time on your pups and never rushes anything, which the dogs just love. We will definitely becoming back in 6 weeks time. Thanks Lex 🐶❤️❤️

Lex is an absolutely fantastic dog groomer. I came to her with what I thought would be an impossible task and she made myself, my partner and the 2 dogs feel at such ease from the start. I couldn’t believe the transformation when we picked Rory and Bonnie up. Thank you Lex for the fantastic job you done. We have had to very appreciative dogs as well! 

I took my 6mth old cockapoo puppy to Paws For Thought today for his first grooming session and I can’t recommend them highly enough!  Lex did an amazing job with Milo, both in terms of the outstanding quality of service she provides, but also in the way she was able to calm and reassure Milo. We will be back in 6wks for his trim 

Winston had a wonderful experience with Lex this morning.  And despite the mess he was in when he arrived,  he is absolutely gorgeous now and already looking forward to his next appointment.  Lex couldn’t have been friendlier, more helpful on our arrival and did a brilliant job.  Highly recommend 😄

Absolutely delighted with Archies groom he is absolutely gorgeous, would hughly recommend as time care and love taken is 2nd to none
