The HAIR of the DOG Groomers – MATTED DOG POLICY IF YOUR DOG ARRIVES WITH A MATTED COAT, IT MAY NEED TO BE SHAVED IN ALL AREAS THAT ARE MATTED. BRUSHING THIS OUT IS NOT ONLY EXTREMELY PAINFUL FOR YOUR DOG, IT IS ALSO ILLEGAL UNDER THE ANIMAL WELFARE ACT OF 2006. I WILL NOT INFLICT SUCH PAIN ON YOUR DOG, WHEN A SHAVE DOWN WILL MAKE THEM MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT A GROOMER NEVER WANTS TO SHAVE YOUR ANIMAL (UNLESS REQUESTED AS A STYLE YOU PREFER). YOUR DOGS HAIRCUT IS OUR BEST ADVERTISEMENT. If a shave down is required, it is in the best interest of your pet. Should your dog require a shave down, this will incur a matted dog fee of £10 on top of the cost of the groom. A matted coat puts more strain on my equipment. The HAIR of the DOG Groomers – behavioural policy Please make me aware when making an appointment & prior to grooming, if your dog has been known to be aggressive towards previous groomers or struggles with any point of the grooming process. (nails, dryers, heads, legs etc) I reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog. I also reserve the right to terminate the groom at any point if o feel that your dog is putting itself or me at risk. Should I need to abort your dogs groom, you will be required to cover the costs of all services carried out up to that point. Please note that if your dog is difficult to work with, you may be charged a behaviour fee up to £10 on top of the cost of the groom, dependant on the severity of the dogs behaviour. The HAIR of the DOG Groomers – COLLECTION POLICY WHEN DROPPING YOUR DOG OFF FOR ITS APPOINTMENT, I WILL GIVE AN ESTIMATED TIME YOUR DOG WILL BE READY TO COLLECT. I WILL ALSO SEND A TEXT TO LET YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR DOG WILL BE READY TO COLLECT (15-30 MINS PRIOR). PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE YOUR DOG IS READY, AS THIS CAN MAKE THEM VERY UNSETTLED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE GROOM, AND THIS MAY RESULT IN THE GROOM NOT BEING UP TO THE STANDARD I WOULD LIKE. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY WITH YORU DOGIN THE SALON WHILE IT IS BEING GROOMED, MY INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER UNTRAINED PERSONNEL IN THE SALON. THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY IF THE DOG IS ONLY IN FOR NAIL CLIPPING, THE OWNER MAY WAIT IN THEIR CAR UNTIL THE SERVICE HAS BEEN COMPLETED. The HAIR of the DOG Groomers – CANCELLATION/NO SHOW POLICY PLEASE GIVE 24HRS IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDUE YOUR APPOINTMENT. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN MY NORMAL WORKING HOURS. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN A CHARGE OF THE FULL PROCE OF THE GROOMING SERVICE. THIS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO ANY FUTURE APPOINTMENTS BEING MADE. IF YOU DO NOT SHOW UP FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY A NO-SHOW FEE, THIS WILL EQUAATE TO 100% VALUE OF THE GROOMING SERVICES THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. NO- SHOWS DO NOT ALLOW ME ANY TIME TO GET ANOTHER DOG BOOKED INTO YOUR SLOT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT. I CAN ONLY WAIT UP TO 15 MINS AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN. ARRIVING LATE LEAVES ME BEHIND & IS UNFAIR ON THE REMAINDER OFF MY CUSTOMERS THAT DAY. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT IN TIME, WE MAY NEED TO RESCHEDULE AND A NO- SHOW FEE MAY NEED TO BE PAID PRIO TO RESCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT
