New Cancellation Policy As of August 1, 2026, I am implementing a new cancellation policy to address the increase in last-minute cancellations and no-shows. As a self-employed business owner, I do not have paid sick leave, vacation time, or other benefits. Simply put: if I don't work, I don't get paid. In my 14 years as a massage therapist, I have only had to cancel on clients three or four times due to illness. When I do need to change an appointment, I always provide as much notice as possible. I have not increased my fees in at least five years, and I would like to keep it that way. To avoid raising prices, I need to maintain a consistent schedule to cover booth rent, supplies, and personal expenses. I utilize a scheduling app that sends a reminder 24 hours before your appointment. If you receive that reminder and know you cannot make it, please text me to cancel. I understand that emergencies and illnesses happen, but I appreciate you letting me know. New Policy Details: New Clients: If you no-show for your first appointment, you will not be able to reschedule. Established Clients: If you cancel on the day of your appointment or no-show, the appointment fee must be paid before you can schedule a future session. Pre-paid Clients/Packages: If you cancel on the day of your appointment or no-show, that session will be deducted from your package. I appreciate your cooperation. I value all of my clients and strive to be fair to everyone; while you are all like family to me, this is still a business, and keeping my prices affordable is very important. Thank you, Julie
