Love Handle Grooming

At Love Handle Grooming I work one on one with each pet and they are not in a kennel at any point. I require pets to be picked up within 15 minutes of being finished as other clients are scheduled directly afterwards. Generally small dogs will take 1 hour, medium dogs 1.5 hours, and large dogs 2 hours. A block of time will be set aside pertaining to each size should more time be required due to special handling an additional appointment will need to be rescheduled. If you are unable to pick up your pet at the time they are finished, please call me to discuss ahead of time. Special arrangements can be made for longer hold times. Matting: Matting is a condition of your dogs fur that is caused by dense tangles and knots. It is painful condition that can lead to other health concerns such as infections, skin irritations, sores, cut off circulation to your dog skin and can cause hematoma. Tight mats are not able to be brushed out and will have to be shaved before the bath. The matting will result in an extra charge as this process is hard on your pet, grooming equipment and takes extra time. Double Coated Shave: Shaving a double coated dog is not recommended as it can cause issues with regrowth as well as affect the health of your pet. Current Vaccinations: Vaccinations are recommend and your pet should be up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and bordetella. If you know your pet is a bite risk vaccinations are required.
