Hello everyone, I’m Alice! My 1-2-1 salon offers a calm, home from home style setting which is great for not only confident dogs but for nervous, anxious and reactive dogs who often struggle in a normal busy salon setting. What sets me apart from other groomers? Did you know that In the UK, dog grooming is not a statutorily regulated industry, meaning there is no legal requirement for groomers to hold formal qualifications or a license to practice. However, they are still legally responsible for the welfare of animals under their care under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.  I have over 12years experience as a dog groomer in numerous different salons. I have also worked in veterinary practices and rehoming centres. Because of this I have adapted my skills and techniques to offer a high standard of care and professionalism and my customers know that their dogs are in safe hands. I regularly keep my canine first aid training up to date and I have a qualification in animal reiki. I believe calm and respectful handling of animals is hugely important and sadly often not practiced by many. I’m also full insured. My extensive training has meant I’ve had to pass numerous practical and written tests to make sure I’m fit and qualified for this job and that dogs in my care are safe and properly looked after. It’s soo much more than just making dogs look nice, it’s a big responsibility and I take my role in looking after everyone’s dogs very seriously. Many groomers are not trained or experienced in this industry and although their prices are cheaper the level of care and expertise unfortunately is not there. This can often result in unnecessary costly vet bills or traumatic experiences for your dog. If you have any questions prior to booking or if you would like to talk to me personally please don’t hesitate to contact me. My online booking now requires card details to protect myself from cancelled appointments and no shows. ⭐ Please be aware, failure to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours will result in full payment being automatically charged to your card on file to protect myself from loss of earnings. This is due to me not being able to get another client in to cover the slot in time as it’s too late notice and running costs of the salon.
