Thank you for helping keep everyone safe 💖 ⸻ ✨ Brazilian Wax Prep, Tips & Important Info PLEASE READ 👀🤌🏼 Before Your Appointment • Hair length matters: Hair must be about ¼ inch long (grain of rice length). ⚠️ I do NOT trim hair, so please trim at home beforehand if needed. • First-time waxing: Please do not shave for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment. • Exfoliate 24–48 hours before (not the day of) • Arrive clean + dry: No lotions, oils, deodorant, or powders before your service • Avoid caffeine & alcohol 24 hours before (they increase sensitivity) • On your period? Totally fine — just please wear a tampon or cup (tampons provided 💕) • Pain tip (optional): You may take ibuprofen or Tylenol 30 minutes before (if safe for you) ⸻ What to Expect • Brazilian services take about 30–45 minutes • Mild redness or sensitivity is normal and temporary • This is a professional, judgment-free space ✨ Important: The smoothest results don’t always happen on the first wax. Hair grows in cycles — consistent waxing every 4–6 weeks leads to finer regrowth and smoother results over time. ⸻ Aftercare (Required for ALL Skin Types) Aftercare is a must — even if you “never have issues.” For 24–48 hours after your wax, please avoid: • Workouts or heavy sweating • Hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms • Tight clothing or lace underwear • Sexual activity • Tanning (sun or beds) Do instead: • Wear loose, breathable clothing • Keep the area clean and dry • Begin gentle exfoliation again after 48 hours • Use ingrown-prevention or calming products as recommended Skipping aftercare can lead to irritation, ingrowns, or breakouts. ⸻ ❌ Waxing Contraindications & Important Notes Waxing cannot be performed on broken skin, rashes, open sores, infections, or active irritation. Please disclose before booking if you are: • Using Retin-A, Renova, Accutane • Using AHA, glycolic, or exfoliating acids on the waxing area within 48–72 hours • Using skin-thinning medications or products on the waxing area • Recently had chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Botox or laser treatments on the waxing area • Have known allergies to wax or pre/post care products • Currently on an active course of steroids or antibiotics. 👉 If these products are NOT used on the area being waxed, services are typically okay — when in doubt, please ask or reschedule to be safe. ⸻ 🤰 Pregnancy & Medical Considerations • Waxing is safe during pregnancy, even up to full term • Please expect increased sensitivity and possible positioning adjustments • If you have back issues or physical limitations, let me know so we can adjust positioning and keep you comfortable It's always recommended to be cleared by your doctor for any waxes during postpartum.
