If you are at 8wks , from your last appointment, pricing begins at $225/3hr and $25 per each additional week up until your scheduled appointment.

Some services require a non refundable deposit.

**Sisterlocks Clients!! It is required you make your first follow up within 4 weeks after establishment/install. If you go beyond 5 weeks, payment is required for your first retightening. 

***(For “Sylvia’s” clients only! Saturday appointments has $35 additional fee. This is discussed during consultations, please contact directly if conflicted. 
If booking outside of my business hours 9am-6pm there is an $60 additional fee and I must be contacted directly.)***

Sisterlocks and Microlocs clients:
It is the client’s responsibility to book your appointments and stay on schedule.

Lateness:
We try to offer a 15 minute grace period, please understand that it is a grace period and is not always available.

Summa Locs along with all its affiliates reserves the right to refuse service at anytime.

This was a great experience. I through 3 other stylists before landing with SummaLocs. When I met Sylvia, I knew I was in good hands!  Sylvia is knowledgeable and thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions.  Scheduling and pricing was easy and transparent. She prepared me for the install and it went smoothly.  Now, I am rocking my new sister locks.  And as an added bonus, she has other certified stylist that are capable and have availability. Can’t go wrong with SummaLocs!

After relocating to VA, I looked for a natural hair care salon for a year and a half, contemplating locs. My standards are high! I finally found Lavinia via Instagram. She was punctual and professional during our consultation and answered all of my questions with patience. My installment appointment was long, as expected, but in a calm, professional environment where I saw customers and staff. I am now on my loc journey and excited to work with her and Summa Locs. I am in good hands. 

I came to Summa Locs as a transfer client and the Loctician that I go to is Armani. She has done a wonderful job transforming my hair from was it was like previously. Before I went to Summa Locs, I was frustrated with my locs and was thinking about cutting my hair because of damage that was done from a previous Loctician, but she changed my mind. She assessed my hair and corrected what was done wrong. Additionally, she is knowledgeable about her craft. I’m so happy I found this place!

Whew let me tell you I am so glad I found this salon. I reached out to several people before stumbling upon a review for them on Facebook. Well they have a forever client in me. Chel was very professional and she has hands that are gentle and fast. If you are looking for a salon that can attend to all your loc needs look no more. I was in and out within 3 hours.

1/17/2026: great experience with one of the newbies, Keira! She’s been trained by the best and fitting in very well. She’s got right to work upon entry and greeting. She’s personable and professional. Medium touch on the scalp takes feedback well and responds to inquiries about care and products for the tresses. She’s accepting new clients so check the schedule!

I went in for an initial consultation.  I did not have to wait and facility was immaculate.  The stylist was very professional.  I was very impressed with my initial visit and level of detail provided. I scheduled an appointment and am eager to see what is to come.

Great consultation!  Sylvia was very knowledgeable and informative about my hair type, installation, maintenance and the overall process. Aside from the sheer uneasiness of a change that is, somewhat permanent, I am comfortable to proceed with the loc journey.  Although I am not looking forward to the so called “ugly” phase of new locs.  Hopefully I will bypass that phase.

Chyna is my loctician and I am sooo very grateful and glad I found her. She is fast, professional, and very thorough and despite our age gap, our conversations are always hilariously funny. My loctician is Shantel. On my first visit, she explained EVERYTHING that I needed to know about sisterlocs.  On my 2nd visit, she finished my sisterlocs  within 13 hours. What's the likelihood of that? On my 3rd visit, Shantel washed and massaged my hair. That was amazing! She completed my retie fast again and answered all of my questions. Summa Locs staff are very helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a place to install your locs, look no further. Summa Locs   staff is there for you.

I went in this evening for a consultation and I was pleased. Very nice salon and good vibes.  I’m looking forward to getting my hair done here.  

This has been the best experience by far!  Each member of the staff is friendly, professional, and take the time to explain everything and answer questions. I really appreciate that because I didn't get that from the last place that I was going to in Clinton, MD.  I'm so glad I was referred here and I will keep going as long as I live in VA!   

I cannot say enough great things about this salon!  As a newbie to locs, they teach me how to care for my locs and ensure I have realistic expectations.  Plus, everyone is so good at their jobs on top of being incredibly easy-going.  Highly recommend if you are just starting your locs or if you have been rocking your locs for years.

From the initial consultation to the day of my loc appointment, she provided great advice for hair growth and stressed hair health.
