Hello everyone, I’m Alice! 

My 1-2-1 salon offers a calm, home from home style setting which is great for not only confident dogs but for nervous, anxious and reactive dogs who often struggle in a normal busy salon setting.

What sets me apart from other groomers? 

Did you know that In the UK, dog grooming is not a statutorily regulated industry, meaning there is no legal requirement for groomers to hold formal qualifications or a license to practice. However, they are still legally responsible for the welfare of animals under their care under the Animal Welfare Act 2006. 

I have over 12years experience as a dog groomer in numerous different salons. I have also worked in veterinary practices and rehoming centres. Because of this I have adapted my skills and techniques to offer a high standard of care and professionalism and my customers know that their dogs are in safe hands. I regularly keep my canine first aid training up to date and I have a qualification in animal reiki. I believe calm and respectful handling of animals is hugely important and sadly often not practiced by many. I’m also full insured. 

My extensive training has meant I’ve had to pass numerous practical and written tests to make sure I’m fit and qualified for this job and that dogs in my care are safe and properly looked after. It’s soo much more than just making dogs look nice, it’s a big responsibility and I take my role in looking after everyone’s dogs very seriously. Many groomers are not trained or experienced in this industry and although their prices are cheaper the level of care and expertise unfortunately is not there. This can often result in unnecessary costly vet bills or traumatic experiences for your dog.

I will now be taking all bookings online only, rescheduling and cancelling appointments can easily be done online. 

If you have any questions prior to booking or if you would like to talk to me personally please don’t hesitate to contact me. 

My online booking now requires card details to protect myself from cancelled appointments and no shows.

⭐ Please be aware, failure to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours will result in full payment being automatically charged to your card on file to protect myself from loss of earnings.  This is due to me not being able to get another client in to cover the slot in time as it’s too late notice and running costs of the salon.
I reserve the right to charge for missed appointments and no shows as outlined in my booking forms signed by each client. ⭐

Please note, all photos posted online have had neck straps edited out. Dogs are never left on a table unattended and without appropriate restraints for safety purposes. 






AlicesDogSpa

🌟Clients can cancel or reschedule appointments up to 24 hours before start time. A cancellation fee will apply if cancelled after this time.🌟 

All canine clients must be up to date with all vaccinations, flea and worming. 

If fleas are found upon arrival the appointment will have to be rescheduled for a later date once flea treatment has been given. But the appointment must still be paid in full.

What a fabulous experience for me and my dog! We had a warm welcome and Alice charmed Brodie from the get go. She did a beautiful job with his groom and he smells delicious. He walked out, tail wagging and full of beans. Will be bringing my other dog for a visit next week. Thank you Alice!

From booking in to recieving all the details to find Alice at her new lovely spa, was so effortless.   Tucker is a high energy spaniel but

This was Nala’s first groom so naturally I was a bit concerned in case she became anxious plus she was well overdue her groom too so her coat was very dense. But I needn’t have worried. I was assured how good she had been and she did look totally relaxed when I peeked inside upon picking her up again. She looked adorable after and smelled lovely too. Thank you.

As someone who is very cautious with her dog as I have really strict things I can do with her coat, I found Alice was amazing with her, she had never done a Finnish lapphund before, and when she came out my dog was looking beautiful, and Alice followed my instructions to a tee. Fantastic service, Obi always comes out looking gorgeous and with a spring in his step... Alice is super friendly 

 Alice was so patient and kind to my 1 year old German Shepherd Ranger. He had not been professionally groomed before and struggled with the process as he became increasingly anxious. Alice spoke me through it, and I could hear her calming him and taking her time trying to get him/make him feel as comfortable as she could. We slightly found Alice’s Dog Spa by luck but it was the best luck! She clearly understands and loves dogs and they respond. We have a bit of a tricksy rescue dog with a double coat and she always comes away looking the way we’ve asked for her to be groomed complete with a bow!

Alice was amazing, our little cockapoo Tink hadn’t been to a groomer for 5 months and was extremely fluffy. Alice groomed her and made her a new dog, her attention to detail is wonderful, Tink had her ears shaved and trimmed inside, and her nails clipped. She went from a floof to a perfectly groomed pooch. I couldn’t be happier!

Really pleased with the service. Flokey looks so good and he seems to be absolutely relaxed after the visit. He even let the groomer to cut his nails which isn’t always the case! We will definitely use the service regularly. 

Alice is very professional , gentle and caring. My elderly lab returns smelling delightful, totally de-shed, and wagging his tail. I have used Alice's services for several grooms for both Monty and my other dog and cannot fault her, or her work.
