Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage time so that we can start your massage on time. Camden Massage Therapy values the time of both our clients and therapists. Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. Any cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment may result in a fee. At Camden Massage Therapy LLC, your massage is provided in a professional, safe, and respectful environment. Your comfort, privacy, and boundaries will always be honored. WHAT TO EXPECT Massage therapy involves hands on techniques to address stress, tension, and musculoskeletal discomfort. A typical session involves the application of pressure to soft tissues including muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Client will be properly draped at all times. Only the area being treated will be uncovered. Client has the right to stop the session at any time for any reason. Client understands that this is a non sexual professional service and that any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and may be reported. HEALTH AND SAFETY Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis. Please consult your physician for any health concerns. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, allergies, or health changes. Some conditions may require medical clearance from client’s physician or may be contraindicated for massage. Massage may leave mild bruising, mild soreness, redness or skin irritation, mild swelling, fatigue or drowsiness, headaches, lightheadedness, emotional release, increased urination and bowel movements, temporary changes in blood pressure, exacerbation of old injuries, and skin breakouts. THERAPIST DISCLOSURE Client’s massage will be provided by John, a licensed massage therapist, trained in professional therapeutic bodywork. If client is uncomfortable receiving a massage from a male therapist for any reason, he/ she may request a referral or decline service without penalty. COMMUNICATION Open and honest communication is encouraged before, during, and after each session. Client should communicate any discomfort, pressure preference, emotional sensitivity, or questions at any time as needed. Mutually boundaries are essential for a safe and effective session. CONSENT & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT By booking an appointment, client agrees that he has read the preceding policies and agrees to adhere to this policy. Client also consents to receive massage therapy from John at Camden Massage Therapy LLC, understands his rights and responsibilities, agrees to release the massage therapist and facility from any and all liability for any injury or condition that may result from the massage therapy session except for gross negligence or misconduct.
