Mila Ink

Booking, Design and Cancellation Policy

Plus ones
No plus ones are accepted into the studio during your appointment. This includes matching tattoos. Exclusions made for support workers. Unfortunately we cannot accept help or guide dogs because of infection control standards.

Deposits
A deposit is required to secure your appointment and is non-refundable.
You must pay the deposit within 1hr of receiving the link. 
You don't have a spot/flash reserved until the deposit is paid.

All pre-drawn designs take a $50-150 deposit depending on size and project complexity. 
This pays for the timeslot and the drawing. 

Deposits are referred to as “drawing deposits” to emphasize that they are primarily paying for the time spent drawing.

Customs take $50-$100 deposits.
Custom deposits pay for the timeslot and the drawing.
If you change the entire custom drawing idea within 4 days of your appointment --since I have already completed the custom design-- the deposit is taken and a new one is required for design #2, #3, etc..
This doesn't mean you cannot make changes, it just means if you want a fairy rat and then change it to a floral wristband, this is a drastic enough change that is considered a new design and not a 'change.' 

The deposit comes off of the final amount, it is not extra. 

Reschedules and Cancellations
Both parties have the right to reschedule for free once before your appointment.
If Mila Ink reschedules you and you are totally unable to come in for another day (leaving the country, etc) you have the right to a drawing deposit refund. This however, does mean you lose the custom drawing, which is paid for by the drawing deposit, and should you like to purchase the drawing, you may do so by leaving the deposit in exchange for the custom drawing which you now own intellectually for reproduction by another tattoo artist. 

This is to protect both you and I 
You: can either get a refund, or rights to your design.

Milaink: can either refund you and sell the design to another, or you can keep the design and Mila Ink is paid for the drawing that has sold. 

 Cancellations, no-shows, or rescheduling more than once will result in forfeiture of the deposit. To retain your deposit when rescheduling, you must provide at least 48 hours notice prior to your appointment.
This goes for both parties. 

To continue working together in future, a cancellation fee of 100aud is required to cancel within 12hrs of your appointment. This is to avoid 'on the day' cancellations, which wastes a lot of travel time and set up fee that I am obligated to pay the studio, so please let me know early if you are getting cold feet, or have woken up sick! It happens to everyone. 


Custom design process 
Custom designs are shown the day of the appointment, or the day before.
There will be plenty of extra time to make adjustments. 
This is to protect our copyright. No screenshots or photographs may be taken of the work prior to the appointment. 
There will be time to make changes on the day. Please do not message me with a time sensitive question past 6pm. 


Personal emergency cancellations
In the unlikely event that I need to cancel your appointment for medical reasons or some other extreme emergency, you will either:
A. receive a full refund if you have no design.
B. receive a partial refund of up to $50 if your design needs very minor changes and a pdf of your design.
C. receive no refund if your design is complete, and receive a pdf with your design.

This is in an extreme circumstance where I am in hospital, and the client is unwilling or unable to reschedule. 

Arriving to your appointment in a suitable condition to be tattooed.
Appointments will be cancelled and deposits forfeited if you arrive in a condition deemed unsuitable for tattooing. This includes, but is not limited to:

Being pregnant or breastfeeding

Severely hungover, intoxicated, or under the influence of drugs

Under the age of 18

Having taken blood thinners within 24 hours

Suffering from any contagious illness or infection that may pose a risk to staff or clients

Have a sunburn

Have a severe black and blue bruise under the spot where the tattoo is supposed to be.

Using medications that affect the skin, such as Accutane (especially in the case of facial tattoos).

Disorderly conduct towards staff, other clients, or artists. (Yelling, swearing, etc).

Violate artists guild rules 

Arrive without valid photo ID.

Touchups 
Touchups are free within 6mo of your appointment. 
Please book your touch up appointment via the link in my bio, the free service is at the bottom of the list.
Touchups remain forfeit for those who don't follow aftercare instructions (e.g. going to the beach or gym within 2wks), or for those who do not show up to their free touchup appointment. Touch ups are a courtesy, not an obligation. 

Disorderly conduct and Misconduct

I had a fantastic experience with Bianca! She was super open to last minute design changes and working with a concept that brought from my sister. She also was able to make changes during the process to make the tattoo really pop! I love how it turned out and it seems to be healing well!
