Terms and Conditions of Service - Woof Style To ensure the safety and well-being of all pets and provide high-quality service, the following policies apply: 1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS • Pets are only accepted for grooming if they are healthy and have up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies (as required by law). • If your pet is elderly, has health issues, or suffers from anxiety, grooming will be done at the owner’s risk. • Woof Style is not responsible for any pre-existing skin or health conditions that may become visible during grooming. • Woof Style reserves the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason, including but not limited to aggressive behavior, non-compliance with policies, or unsafe conditions for the pet or staff. 2. MATTING POLICY & EXTRA CHARGES • If a pet has matted fur, an additional fee will apply, starting at $10, depending on the severity of the matting. • Mat removal may require shaving, which can cause skin irritation, discomfort , or expose pre-existing skin issues. Woof Style is not responsible for any reactions due to mat removal. • In extreme cases, if the pet does not allow the procedure or its well-being is compromised, the grooming session may be stopped. 3. SAFETY & PET HEALTH • For the safety of all pets and staff, if a pet becomes excessively stressed, aggressive, or unmanageable, the grooming session may be stopped. • Owners must inform us of any skin sensitivities, allergies, medical conditions, behavioral concerns, anxiety issues, or past incidents before the grooming session. • Woof Style is not responsible for any pre-existing conditions or medical issues that may arise during or after grooming. • Owners acknowledge that grooming involves sharp tools and procedures that carry minimal risks, including nicks, scratches, clipper irritation, or stress-related reactions. We take every precaution to avoid accidents. • If a pet arrives with a matted or tangled coat, the risk of accidents increases. • Ear cleaning is essential to prevent infections or inflammation. If a pet has excess hair in the ears, we will remove it when possible. Some dogs are more sensitive in this area, so despite our precautions, hair removal may cause temporary inflammation. However, if the dog does not allow it, we will not force the procedure to avoid stress. • If a pet bites or injures the groomer, the owner will be responsible for any necessary medical expenses. • By booking an appointment, the owner agrees to these terms and releases Woof Style from any liability related to the grooming process. 4. FLEAS, TICKS & SKIN CONDITIONS • If a pet arrives with fleas or ticks, an immediate flea bath will be required at an additional charge. • If an infestation is severe, the grooming session may be canceled and the owner advised to seek veterinary treatment. • Woof Style is not responsible for any pre-existing or underlying skin conditions that become visible after grooming. 5. VETERINARY EMERGENCIES • In the event of a medical emergency during the service and in the owner’s absence, Woof Style will take the necessary action to bring the pet to the nearest veterinary clinic. • All veterinary costs will be covered by the owner. 6. PAYMENTS & PRICING • Payment is required upon completion of the service. • Accepted payment methods: cash, credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, and Zelle. • Prices are based on the pet’s breed, size, coat condition, and the duration of the service. Additional charges may apply for matting, special handling, or difficult behavior. • All payments are final and non-refundable once the grooming service has been completed. 7. APPOINTMENTS, LATE ARRIVALS & NO-SHOWS • Clients must arrive on time for their scheduled appointments. • A 15-minute grace period is given for late arrivals. • Starting at 16 minutes late, a $10 late fee will be applied due to schedule disruption. • If a client is more than 30 minutes late, the groomer reserves the right to accept or refuse the appointment. • A “no-show” is considered when a client does not show up for their appointment and has not provided prior notice. Clients who miss an appointment without notice will be required to pay an additional $20 fee on their next booking. • Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees or losing your spot. 8. PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA • Woof Style may take photos or videos of pets before, during, or after grooming for training, social media, or promotional purposes. • If an owner does not want their pet’s photos to be shared, they must inform us before the appointment.
