The Canine Companion Co. – Policy & Terms Agreement Last updated: 10/11/2025 1. Introduction These Terms and Policies outline the expectations, responsibilities and service conditions for all clients of The Canine Companion Co. By booking any training session, class or service, you agree to all terms set out below. Our aim is to deliver a professional, safe and high-standard training experience for both you and your dog. ⸻ 2. Services Provided The Canine Companion Co. offers the following services: • Obedience training • Behaviour work and behaviour modification • Puppy training sessions • Class-based group sessions All services are tailored to the individual dog and may be adapted at the trainer’s discretion to ensure safety and effectiveness. ⸻ 3. Booking Methods Clients may book through: • Facebook • Call or text • Email • Booking system (if applicable) A booking is only confirmed once a date, time and location have been agreed. ⸻ 4. Payments • Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash. • All clients must complete full payment before the start of the session. • If payment is not received before the session begins, the session will not go ahead and will be treated as a late cancellation (see Policy 5). ⸻ 5. Cancellation & Refund Policy • The Canine Companion Co. operates a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. • Any cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled session is non-refundable, regardless of reason. • Deposits or pre-payments (if used) are also non-refundable. • Rescheduling within 48 hours is considered a cancellation and will incur the same policy. This policy ensures fair scheduling and protects the trainer’s time and travel commitments. ⸻ 6. Safety Requirements To maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism: 6.1 Vaccination All dogs must be up-to-date with standard vaccinations or have proof of medical exemption where appropriate. The trainer reserves the right to request proof at any time. 6.2 Reactive Dogs Dogs with known human or dog reactivity must attend sessions wearing a secure, well-fitted muzzle (e.g., a Baskerville-style muzzle). Failure to follow this requirement may result in the session being cancelled with no refund. 6.3 Handler Responsibilities Clients must: • Follow all trainer instructions during and after sessions • Use only recommended training equipment • Ensure their dog arrives on a safe, appropriate lead and collar/harness • Inform the trainer of any behavioural concerns or incidents prior to the session The Canine Companion Co. reserves the right to end any session due to safety risks without refund. ⸻ 7. Liability While every effort is made to ensure safety, dog training involves inherent risks. The Canine Companion Co. is not responsible for: • Injuries caused by a client’s dog • Damage to property caused by a client’s dog • Issues arising from failure to follow aftercare instructions • Any pre-existing behavioural or medical conditions not disclosed by the client Clients accept full responsibility for their dog’s behaviour during and after sessions. ⸻ 8. Media & Marketing With client consent, The Canine Companion Co. may use photos or videos taken during sessions for professional and marketing purposes. Clients may opt out at any time. ⸻ 9. Professional Conduct The Canine Companion Co. maintains a high-end, professional standard. Abusive behaviour, disrespect or failure to adhere to policies may result in termination of services without refund. ⸻ 10. Acceptance of Terms By booking any service with The Canine Companion Co., you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to all terms in this Policy & Terms Agreement.
