Peaches Pooches – Terms and Conditions 1. Cancellation & No-Show Policy * A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge. * Cancellations made between 24–48 hours before the appointment will incur a 50% grooming fee. * Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, failure to attend (no-show), or arriving more than 15 minutes late will incur the full grooming fee (100%). ⸻ 2. Drop-Off & Collection * Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time. * To maintain a safe and efficient schedule, we limit the number of dogs in the salon at any one time. * Dogs must be collected promptly at the agreed time. * A £10 late collection fee will apply if your dog is collected 20 minutes or more after the agreed collection time. ⸻ 3. Fleas & Ticks * We aim to maintain a flea- and tick-free environment. * If your dog has an active infestation, you will be asked to reschedule once the issue is under control. * If fleas or ticks are identified during the groom: * Your dog will be treated with a flea shampoo. * A £15 decontamination fee will be added to your bill. * We recommend consulting your veterinarian and maintaining regular preventative treatment for all pets and the home. ⸻ 4. Health, Medical Conditions & Elderly Dogs * Grooming can be physically and emotionally stressful, particularly for senior dogs or those with underlying health conditions. * Grooming may expose or aggravate existing medical issues. * By using our services, you authorise Peaches Pooches to seek immediate veterinary treatment if necessary. * We will make every effort to contact you first. * All veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner. ⸻ 5. Accidents & Safety * While every precaution is taken, grooming involves the use of sharp equipment and minor injuries (e.g. nicks, cuts, scratches, nail quicking) may occasionally occur. * Risk is increased if a dog moves or becomes distressed. * If a dog cannot be safely handled, we reserve the right to stop the groom in the interest of safety. ⸻ 6. Coat Condition & Matting * Owners are responsible for maintaining their dog’s coat, skin, and overall condition. * We do not de-matt severely neglected coats, as this can cause pain and distress. * In cases of significant matting: * A full shave may be required, subject to owner consent. * An additional charge of up to £15 may apply, depending on severity. * Removal of minor knots and tangles is included where it can be done safely and humanely. ⸻ 7. Hand Stripping * Hand stripping carries a risk of temporary skin sensitivity or infection, as hair follicles may remain open for up to 7 days. * We follow appropriate hygiene procedures; however, risk cannot be completely eliminated. * Dogs are bathed after hand stripping using a gentle aloe vera shampoo, unless otherwise requested. * If your dog is unable to tolerate the process or the coat is not ready, we will pause the service and discuss alternative options or rescheduling. ⸻ 8. Behaviour & Temperament Aggressive or Dangerous Dogs * Owners must disclose any history of aggression or biting. * We reserve the right to refuse or stop services at any time. * An additional £10 handling fee may apply. * Owners are responsible for any injury, damage, or associated costs caused by their dog. Difficult Dogs * Some dogs may require additional handling due to stress or behaviour. * As a sole groomer, we may be unable to safely complete the groom in certain cases. * We will recommend alternative groomers where appropriate. ⸻ 9. Pricing & Payments * Prices are based on a dog being in reasonable condition with a manageable temperament. * Additional charges may apply for: * Matted or neglected coats * Behavioural challenges * Extended grooming time or extra products required * Refunds will not be provided once a groom has been completed, unless the service could not be finished due to exceptional circumstances. ⸻ 10. Animal Welfare & Professional Standards * Peaches Pooches follows industry good practice standards and prioritises animal welfare at all times. * We aim to promote responsible pet ownership through guidance and professional care.
