Pricing - I always give a rough quote based on breed but please note price may vary depending on breed, coat condition and the amount of work required. Salon policy - All poodle and wool coat breeds such as poodles, cockapoos, cavapoos and bichon frise etc. must be kept on a recommended 4-8 week schedule (which will be discussed up on your first visit) if they wish to be groomed at Liv's Perfect Pooches Dog groomers & Spa, to avoid poor coat care and discomfort to the dog and groomer during the grooming process. For puppies they will need to be booked onto the puppy package (from 12 weeks old with both vaccinations) before they can be booked in for a full groom. Neglected/ Matted coats - If you bring your dog in any matted condition there will be an automatic dematting charge of a minimum of £15 to cover the cost of blade sharpening/renewal and the matting will be clipped out in order of the Animal welfare Act 2006 to ensure the dog can be comfortable and maintain a well looked after coat. Severe matting can lead severe skin damage and discomfort. Cancellations/ no shows - It is appreciated that sometimes appointments may need to be rearranged as long as this is done with 48 hours notice there will be no charge. Any cancellations less than 48 hours notice will result in 50% of the groom being required to be payed and any cancellation less than 24 hours notice/no shows will require the full price of the groom to be payed (unless extreme circumstances). Please note 50% deposits will be taken upon booking to secure youre booking and these are non refundable. If any customer fails to pay no show fees they will be unable to book back in again. There is a £5 per 15 minute late fee for those late to drop off and pick up. Aggressive dogs - I have the right to refuse access to any aggressive or dog I believe may put myself and itself at risk into the salon. If in the middle of a groom a dog shows aggressive/unsafe behaviour the groom will be discontinued and the owner will be required to come and collect the dog immediately and pay full grooming price. I must be informed prior to the appointment of any aggressive behaviour to ensure mine and the dogs safety. For any dogs that’s show signs of aggression or behavioural issues that I’m able to complete with time, patience and love there will be an added charge due to taking up more of my time that could be spent on well behaved dogs. Please note I am unable to groom any of the banned dog breeds in the UK (eg. XL bully’s) as this is something my insurance does not cover. Fleas/Ticks For any dogs that enter the salon with fleas, I will complete the groom and they will be bathed in a flea treatment shampoo and the salon will need disinfecting before another dog enters. A £15 flea charge will be added on to your groom and you will be advised to see a vet for urgent flea treatment. Any dogs that come in with Ticks can be removed for an extra £5.
