• Deposits: All clients are required to pay a $20 deposit to secure their booking. Deposits are fully refundable if the appointment is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled service time. If the appointment is cancelled within 24 hours of the booking, the deposit is non-refundable. Appointments can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. • Access to Property: Clients must ensure safe and clear access to the grooming area inside the home. Adequate space, lighting, and access to power and water must be available for the grooming service. • Safe Environment: For safety, other pets and small children should be kept away from the grooming area during the appointment unless discussed beforehand. • Matting Policy: If a dog is severely matted, shaving may be necessary to ensure the health, comfort, and wellbeing of the dog. In these cases, a matting fee and/or additional time fee may apply. Severely matted coats can hide skin conditions and may result in minor skin irritation after grooming. • Late Arrivals / Client Availability: Clients must be present at the scheduled appointment time to allow access to the property and dog. If I am unable to access the property or begin the appointment, the booking may be cancelled and the deposit may be forfeited. • Health & Fleas: Dogs must be in good health and free from contagious conditions before their appointment. If fleas or ticks are discovered during the groom, a flea treatment fee may apply and the appointment may be stopped if the infestation is severe. • Behaviour & Safety: I reserve the right to refuse or stop a groom if a dog is aggressive, extremely stressed, or if continuing would be unsafe for myself or the dog. In these cases, the service may not be completed and charges may still apply. • Senior or Medical Conditions: Grooming can be stressful for older dogs or dogs with medical conditions. Please inform me of any health issues, injuries, or sensitivities before the appointment so the groom can be adjusted if necessary. • Accidents & Injuries: While every care is taken, grooming tools are sharp and dogs may move unexpectedly. Minor nicks, scratches, or irritation can occasionally occur, particularly with matted or sensitive coats. • Veterinary Care: In the unlikely event of an emergency or injury during grooming, the owner will be notified immediately. If veterinary care is required, it will be the responsibility of the owner to arrange treatment and cover any associated veterinary costs. • Photos: Photos of dogs may be taken before or after their grooming appointment for use on social media or other promotional materials. If you prefer that your dog’s photos are not used, please notify me prior to the appointment.
