Policy and Terms
Kenzie’s Cuts & Coat Care – Client Agreement At Kenzie’s Cuts & Coat Care, we are committed to providing expert grooming services while prioritizing the health, safety, and comfort of every pet in our care. This agreement outlines our policies and expectations to ensure a clear understanding between both parties. ⸻ 1. Appointments, Drop-Off & Pick-Up • Pets must arrive on a secure leash or in a kennel and be under adult supervision at all times. • Please walk your pet before arriving. Accidents on or near the property must be cleaned up by the pet owner. Bags are available upon request. • Clients must inform us if they expect to be late. Being more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened service or forfeiture of the appointment. • Once your pet is ready, please arrive within 15 minutes of notification to avoid overlaps in pet drop off times. Failure to pick up on time will result in daycare fees and possible termination of future services. ⸻ 2. Cancellations & No-Shows • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. • Missed appointments without proper notice may be subject to full charges and require prepayment for future bookings. • Clients who no-show twice without 24-hour notice may be refused further service. ⸻ 3. Health & Vaccination Requirements • Pets must be in good health and current on vaccinations. Proof may be required. • Grooming can expose underlying conditions, particularly in senior, ill, or high-stress pets. We groom these pets for comfort only and may decline service if safety is a concern. • You must disclose any medical conditions, sensitivities, or known stress-related issues at drop-off. ⸻ 4. Behavior & Aggression Policy • Clients must disclose if their pet has a history of biting, aggression, or behavioral challenges. • A muzzle may be used when needed for safety. This does not harm the pet and protects both the animal and groomer. • Aggressive pets may be refused or have services halted. A special handling fee may apply if excessive care is required. • Pet owners are financially responsible for injuries to staff or damage caused by their pet. ⸻ 5. Coat Condition, Dematting & Shaving • We prioritize comfort over style. Severely matted coats will be shaved down rather than brushed out if dematting would cause pain. • Shaving may expose skin irritations, and may result in nicks, redness, or clipper burn, especially in severe cases. • After-effects of shaving can include itchiness, hair regrowth issues, or sunburn. Behavioral changes may also occur. • Additional dematting fees will apply for extra time and wear on grooming tools. ⸻ 6. Parasites, Contagious Conditions & Clean-Up Fees • All clients must disclose any known parasites, fleas, ticks, infections, or contagious illnesses prior to arrival. • If such conditions are discovered during the appointment, services may be stopped immediately, and full fees may still apply. • A clean-up/disinfection fee may also be assessed. ⸻ 7. Accidents & Emergency Medical Care We use professional care and caution in every grooming session. However, accidents may occur. This may include (but is not limited to): • Minor cuts, nicks, clipper irritation, or nail quicking • Reactions to products or stress-induced responses In rare cases where medical care is required: Kenzie’s Cuts & Coat Care reserves the right to seek emergency veterinary care at our discretion. Every effort will be made to contact the owner first. All related veterinary costs are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. ⸻ 8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Release By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that: Kenzie’s Cuts & Coat Care, its owner(s), staff, or affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to persons, pets, or property while on the premises or during services, including those resulting from known or unknown conditions. This includes accidents that may occur on-site, during grooming, or while in our care. You release us from any liability arising from such incidents. ⸻ 9. Salon Environment Notice Please understand that this is a pet care facility with other animals present. While we do our best to maintain a calm environment, noise and stimulation may affect your pet’s behavior and stress levels. ⸻ 10. Policy Updates Policies may change without notice. Signing this agreement signifies your understanding and acceptance of the most current version.
