The goal is to provide reliable, consistent, and outstanding customer service in a comfortable and clean environment. It is my duty to educate the client on Sisterlock TM and Microlock hair care before and after te provided service and ensure the client is happy with the service received.

At Free to Express Hair Studio, we value both your time and ours. In order to provide the best service to all of our clients, we kindly ask that any cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. No extra guest please. If you have a special circumstance or need to bring someone with you, please contact us before your appointment. How to Cancel or Reschedule: You can make changes to your appointment through our scheduling system, or by contacting us directly during business hours. PLEASE CALL FIRST BEFORE BOOKING TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY. This required consultation is the first step before establishing Sisterlocks. During this session, we will assess your hair type, scalp health, and discuss your hair goals, lifestyle, and expectations. You’ll also receive detailed information about the Sisterlocks process, maintenance, pricing, and scheduling. A small set of sample locks will be installed during the consultation. This allows you to see and feel how the Sisterlocks will look in your hair, while also giving the loctician insight into the ideal locking pattern and size for your hair type and texture. Please arrive with clean, product-free hair.

Microlock Consultation (Please Call for Appointment)

PLEASE CALL FIRST BEFORE BOOKING TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY. This required consultation is the first step before establishing Microlocks. During this session, we will assess your hair type, scalp condition, and discuss your styling preferences, lifestyle, and long-term hair goals. You’ll also receive detailed information about the Microlocks installation process, maintenance schedule, pricing, and what to expect moving forward. A small set of sample locks will be installed during the consultation. This gives you the opportunity to see and feel how the Microlocks will look in your hair, while also allowing the loctician to determine the best locking method, parting system, and size suitable for your hair type and texture. Please arrive with clean, product-free hair.

Hair Color Consultation

Consultation to discuss color goals, assess hair/loc condition, review options, strand testing (if needed), pricing estimate, and determine service eligibility. Color service is not performed during this appointment.

Transfer Client Consultation (Please Call for Appointment)

This service is for clients who have established Microlocks or Sisterlocks with another practitioner and are seeking ongoing maintenance at Free to Express Hair Studio. During your first visit, we will assess the condition of your locs, parting system, locking pattern, and overall scalp health to ensure compatibility with our maintenance approach. Please be prepared to provide information about your loc history, including your last retie date and any previous issues or concerns. The $50 deposit will go towards your retie price.

6-7 Week Sisterlock/Microlock Retightening 2 1/2- Hours

(CURRENT CLIENT BOOKING ONLY) Retightening service for clients returning within 6 to 7 weeks of their last appointment. Includes a shampoo or steam treatment to cleanse and prepare the scalp and hair for maintenance. Regular retie intervals help maintain parting structure, prevent slippage, and support overall loc health.
