Policy and Terms
Terms & Conditions 🐾 Health & Wellbeing Grooming can be stressful for some dogs, especially those that are elderly, young, overweight, or have medical issues. Grooming may reveal or worsen health conditions. In the event of an emergency, we may seek veterinary care without prior contact if necessary. Owners are responsible for all costs unless negligence is proven. Grooming sessions can exceed 3 hours and may cause fatigue or minor injury. We reserve the right to stop a groom at any point if we believe it’s in the dog’s best interest. Full payment is still required. 💉 Vaccinations All dogs must be fully vaccinated against Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, and Parvovirus. We may request proof. Floofsters cannot be held responsible for illness due to lack of vaccination. 🐛 Fleas & Ticks If your dog has fleas or ticks, please reschedule your appointment with at least 24 hours' notice. Flea treatment fee: £15 Tick removal fee: £5 If fleas or ticks are found during the groom, we’ll treat the dog and sanitise the space—fees apply. We are not liable for any infections resulting from parasites. ✂️ Coat Condition & Matting We follow a humanity over vanity approach. If a coat is too matted, we will clip it short rather than de-mat it, in line with the Animal Welfare Act 2006. De-matting is limited to 15 minutes Severe matting may result in skin irritation or reveal hidden issues Additional charges may apply for extra time, tools, or wear and tear We are not responsible for skin conditions uncovered during mat removal. 📅 Appointments & Deposits A £20 deposit is required to secure all appointments. This goes toward your final bill Can be rolled over when rebooking Failure to pay may lead to cancellation 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations to retain your deposit ❌ Late Cancellations / No-Shows Less than 24 hours' notice or missed appointments will be charged at full groom price. This will be charged to the card on file if provided Payment details are securely stored under PCI DSS and UK GDPR standards By booking, you agree to this policy. ⚠️ General Conditions We cannot groom: Pregnant dogs In-season bitches (please notify us with 24 hours’ notice) Any dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 🛑 Hold Harmless Agreement By using our services, you agree to hold Floofsters Dog Grooming (including all staff) harmless from any liability related to your dog’s condition, whether known or unknown, unless caused by proven negligence. 🦷 Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning Our Emmi-pet ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a non-veterinary service for dogs with mild to moderate tartar. Helps with tartar, gum health & bad breath Not a replacement for veterinary dental care Effectiveness varies by dog We may recommend a vet check if issues are found We cannot diagnose or treat dental conditions and are not liable for any issues arising before, during, or after the service.
