BUCK & BOWS GROOMING Thank you for choosing Buck & Bows Grooming! Please review the following policies before booking an appointment. These policies help ensure a safe, professional, and comfortable grooming experience for both pets and clients. 🐾 MOBILE GROOMING Buck & Bows Grooming provides grooming services at the client's location. Buck & Bows Grooming does not currently operate a grooming van. When a bath is required, the client must provide access to a suitable tub or bathing area and a usable water source. Clients are responsible for providing a reasonably safe and accessible area for grooming. If the required bathing facilities, water source, electrical access, or working conditions are unavailable or unsafe, Buck & Bows Grooming may be unable to complete the service. 💰 NEW CLIENT DEPOSIT A $25 deposit is required for new clients to secure an appointment. The $25 deposit is refundable if the appointment is canceled. The deposit does go toward the cost of the grooming. A new deposit may be required when scheduling a replacement appointment after a cancellation. 📅 APPOINTMENTS Appointments are scheduled based on availability. Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, including: Client name Phone number Address Pet's name Breed Veterinary information Current rabies documentation Any relevant information about the pet's health or behavior Appointments may not be considered fully confirmed until all required information, forms, and deposit requirements have been completed. ❌ CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING Please provide notice as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. The $25 new-client deposit is refundable when the appointment is canceled. Repeated cancellations, excessive rescheduling, or missed appointments may result in Buck & Bows Grooming declining future appointments. 💉 RABIES REQUIREMENT Pets must have a current rabies vaccination to receive grooming services. Proof of current rabies vaccination may be required before the appointment. If current documentation cannot be provided, Buck & Bows Grooming may refuse or postpone the appointment until valid documentation is available. 🩺 HEALTH & MEDICAL CONDITIONS Clients are responsible for informing Buck & Bows Grooming of any known: Medical conditions Injuries Recent surgeries Allergies or sensitivities Skin conditions Medications Physical limitations Other conditions that may affect grooming Grooming can be physically and emotionally stressful for some pets. If the groomer determines that continuing the service could place the pet at risk, the service may be modified or stopped. 🐕 SENIOR & SPECIAL-NEEDS PETS Senior, elderly, fragile, or special-needs pets may require additional care and consideration. Buck & Bows Grooming may modify or stop a grooming service if the pet shows signs that continuing could be unsafe. ⚠️ BITING, AGGRESSIVE & UNSAFE BEHAVIOR Buck & Bows Grooming has the right to refuse, discontinue, or cancel grooming services at any time if a pet displays behavior that creates an unsafe working environment. This includes, but is not limited to: Biting Attempting to bite Repeated snapping Lunging Aggressive behavior Severe fear or panic Excessive struggling Behavior that could cause injury Behavior that prevents safe completion of grooming The groomer's professional judgment will determine whether a pet can be safely groomed. Safety comes first. 🦷 BITE & GROOMING INCIDENT POLICY If a pet bites the groomer or causes an injury during a grooming appointment, the grooming service will be stopped immediately. The groomer will assess the situation and determine whether it is safe to continue. If the service cannot safely continue, the appointment will be ended. If necessary, the groomer may seek appropriate medical attention for any injury sustained during the incident. The incident may be documented for Buck & Bows Grooming's business records. Clients are required to disclose any known history of biting or aggression before the appointment. Failure to disclose a known bite history may result in immediate termination of the appointment and refusal of future services. Following a bite or serious safety incident, Buck & Bows Grooming reserves the right to refuse future grooming services for that pet. If grooming is stopped because of a bite or unsafe behavior, completion of the requested service is not guaranteed. Any amount due or refund will be determined based on the circumstances of the incident and services already performed. 🚫 RIGHT TO REFUSE OR DISCONTINUE SERVICE Buck & Bows Grooming reserves the right to refuse, postpone, modify, or discontinue grooming services whenever the groomer determines that the service cannot be safely or reasonably performed. Reasons may include: Biting or attempted biting Aggressive behavior Unsafe pet behavior Severe fear or distress Medical concerns Severe matting Unsafe working conditions Lack of required vaccination documentation Lack of required bathing facilities or water Inability to safely handle the pet Any other situation that creates a safety concern The groomer is not required to complete a service that they reasonably believe cannot be performed safely. ✂️ MATTING & COAT CONDITION Severely matted coats may require shaving or a significant modification to the requested haircut. The safety and comfort of the pet will always take priority over maintaining a particular hairstyle. Matting can hide: Skin irritation Sores Bruising Hot spots Parasites Other skin conditions When a matted coat is removed, previously hidden skin conditions may become visible. 🐾 GROOMING RESULTS Grooming results can vary depending on the pet's: Coat condition Coat type Amount of matting Behavior Ability to remain still Skin condition Previous grooming Requested haircut Buck & Bows Grooming will make reasonable professional efforts to provide the requested service while prioritizing the pet's safety. 🧼 FLEAS, TICKS & PARASITES Clients should disclose any known flea or tick infestation before the appointment. If fleas or ticks are discovered during grooming, additional services or charges may apply when appropriate. Severe infestations may require the grooming service to be modified or stopped. 🐾 NAILS, EARS, TEETH & ADD-ONS Additional services such as: Nail trimming Nail filing Ear cleaning Teeth brushing De-shedding Flea shampoo Nail polish Bows Bandanas Other available add-ons may be available for an additional fee. If a pet will not safely tolerate an additional service, that service may be declined. 💳 PAYMENT Payment is due when the grooming service is completed unless another arrangement has been approved in advance. Accepted payment methods may include: Cash Check Card Other payment methods offered by Buck & Bows Grooming Clients are responsible for payment for all completed grooming services and applicable add-ons. 🚗 TRAVEL FEES Travel fees may apply for appointments outside Buck & Bows Grooming's standard service area. Travel fees may vary based on distance, location, and scheduled travel days. 🏠 CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Clients are responsible for: Providing accurate information about their pet Providing current rabies documentation Disclosing known biting or aggressive behavior Disclosing relevant health concerns Providing a suitable tub and water source when a bath is required Providing a reasonably safe grooming area Having the pet available at the scheduled appointment time Treating the groomer respectfully Making payment for completed services 🏡 CLIENT HOME & WORKING ENVIRONMENT Because Buck & Bows Grooming provides services at the client's location, the groomer must be provided with a reasonably safe workspace. The groomer may refuse to work in an environment containing hazards that could reasonably cause injury to the pet or groomer. 📸 PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA Buck & Bows Grooming may photograph completed grooming work for business records, marketing, or social media when the client has given permission for their pet's photographs to be used. Clients may let Buck & Bows Grooming know if they do not want their pet's photographs used for promotional purposes. 🔄 POLICY CHANGES Buck & Bows Grooming reserves the right to change, update, add, remove, or modify business policies, pricing, services, service areas, scheduling requirements, and terms at any time. Updated policies generally apply to new bookings and future appointments after the effective date.
