A regular grooming schedule is important to your dog’s health and happiness. Curly Coated Breeds - 6/8 weeks Other Breeds - 8/12 weeks A £15 fee will be applied for additional time / delays to the groom incurred by matting, behavioural issues, late arrival/pick up. If your curly coated dog’s hair is long and hasn’t been groomed regularly this fee will apply to cover the wear and tear of our equipment.

Puppy Groom (3-6 Months old)

Bonding time plus introduction to the salon and the equipment. Starting with a warm bath using sensitive puppy shampoo followed by a gentle blow dry, brush and light trimming of the head, eyes and feet. 2-3 monthly puppy grooms are recommended before a full groom. After 6 months please book the Full Groom Service.

Matted Coat

If your dogs fur has become matted and unmanageable, the most humane way to treat the coat is to shave it short (under 2mm). Brushing out tight matts is painful and doesn’t make for a pleasant grooming experience. Matted coats can cause numerous health problems for your dog (skin infections & haematomas for example). Regular grooming sessions and daily brushing are necessary to avoid the need to be shaved off. We understand this is not always easy and sometimes unavoidable. This service is 3 hours long. It usually starts with clipping which can take more time than a normal groom. With the blade being so close to the skin we have to take extra special care not to cut the dog. Matting also causes damage to our equipment which is why we charge more. After the clip off, your dog has a warm bath and relaxing massage. Please book the next groom for 6-8 weeks time and discuss manageable lengths at your next appointment.
