It’s best to not eat at LEAST an hour before your session and a hour after. 
Don’t consume alcohol 24 hours before your session
For best results drink lots of water as you will be literally peeing the fat out as your body detox’s toxins and the fat. 
For best results try to include at least 30min of exercise each day. 
Examples-walking, cleaning the house, grocery shopping- as long as you’re not being a couch potato all hours of the day your results will be even better.
