Access: With all works above the height of first floor, access must be supplied by the client unless agreed to be supplied by us at extra cost.
Health and welfare: Our quotation is based on any facilities that are required to enable us to comply with the construction health and welfare act are supplied by the client free from charge to ourselves
Areas to be sealed: All areas to be sealed must have a build clean with windows de-taped and lighting provided.
Weather: We bear no responsibility for delays due to inclement weather. Nor do we bear no responsibility for joint failures if we are requested to seal wet joints. We reserve the right to charge a minimum site visit charge if we are unable to work due to inclement weather having been specifically requested to site by client.
Variations: If joints exceed quoted widths, then prices must be agreed with us before work is done.
Minimum site visit charge: Our quotation is based on the minimum site visit charge of £350 per man per visit during normal working hours Monday-Friday.  Should there be insufficient work available on any one visit, we will charge our minimum site visit charge. Please note each date is a separate visit.
Extras & redo's: Should the need arise for any extras not already quoted for or redoes out of our control, there will be a minimum charge of £175 or £350 if it takes over 4 hours.
Day work: Should the need for daywork arise, although we would always prefer to work on a meterage/price basis for the work, our charges are as follows. Please note where no meterage is given day rate will apply.
Skilled operative @ £43.75 per hour plus material cost                         
Many in the construction industry will be aware that the price of sealant has been rapidly rising over the past months going up over 80% in some cases due to a global shortage. Prices are predicted to rise further into 2019 and for the foreseeable future. We want to ensure customers that H Griffith sealants still have access to all materials, and although there will undoubtedly be a price adjustment to the market, we will honour all existing tenders/quotes we have already given. We would also like to reassure all future clients that we will be mitigating any rise in cost as much as possible.
With limited information given to trades that work with silicone-based products some of the known reasons for the increases are
Increase to price for key polymers and raw materials, especially siloxanes and MDi (main components in silicones and poly-based products
Increases to costs for energy, transport and packaging
Factories that drill the raw materials are increasing their percentage of stock supplied to the technology and cosmetic based trades, as they can charge significantly more to these trades, therefore decreasing the amount supplied to the construction market. This in turn means they can charge more as the material is harder to secure
Chinese government has added new environmental restrictions on its own manufacturing infrastructure, plants in China that manufacture the fumed silica, which gives silicone its body, are closing creating further pressure on supply costs
Dow chemicals, the lead silica plant in the USA, has instigated force majeure on polymer used in the production of ranges of pva, tile adhesives and water-based sealants and adhesives.
With these being just a few reasons for the increases in cost. Rest assured we are doing all they can to keep prices as low as possible at this uncertain time. Unlike some we have and always will only use sealants produced by the leading manufacturers giving peace of mind quality that lasts.

Hugh' did a great job in my kitchen siliconing around work tops splashbacks and gas  hob as well as additional outside work.  Hugh's attention to detail  was good bringing some areas to my attention when required.  Hugh was on time polite friendly and excellent to work with I have no hesitation recommending Hugh.

Very pleased with the work carried out.  The process was clearly explained to me, the work was carried out to a high standard and the area was left very clean and tidy.  I would highly recommend.

Hugh did a great job, who knew the right coloured sealant could make such a difference? 😀 We had several areas that needed re-doing due to wear and tear and redecoration. Completed as promised. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
