Booking Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to makeup services provided by Gemma Morgan MUA to you. Upon booking a makeup application with Gemma Morgan MUA, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
*These terms and conditions can change at any time, once you have paid your non-refundable booking deposit you are locked into the terms and conditions in place at the time.
Booking with Gemma Morgan MUA
A booking with Gemma Morgan MUA can be made up into 1 day prior to the appointment. Appointments will only be completed once the full fee of payment has been made.
Wedding Makeup Bookings
All wedding bookings require a non-refundable deposit and booking fee which must be made to secure the booking, the suggested date of booking will not be confirmed until this deposit is paid. The remainder of payment is required 48 hours before the booking commences.
*Weddings on Fridays & Saturdays require a minimum of 3 people per bridal party. *Weddings on public holidays include 10% surcharge.
Trials
Whilst it is not obligatory to have a makeup trial, a trial is highly recommended as they give us the opportunity to go over options and styles to ensure both the artist and client are on the same page and the client has their perfect bridal look. If trials are booked not within the Bridal Package, a separate booking fee & travel fee will be applied to the total.
Deposits & Booking Fees
A Booking Fee of $50 is required to confirm your appointment. A 24 hour window is applied for the booking fee to be paid , if not paid Gemma has the right to release the time slot. All deposits and booking fees are non-refundable to confirm your booking. For larger bookings, a deposit is also required to cover the appointment, date and time per client. The same 24 hour window applies, if not paid - the appointment slot will be released.
Travel Fees
Travel fees start at $50 and vary depending on the location. Gemma Morgan MUA will estimate a travel for the wedding location cost and add this to the initial invoice. A further travel fee may be charged dependant on the location of the trial, additional to any booking bridal booking package.
Timings
Your allocated time for your appointment is based on the number of people booked. This then gets transferred to the required hours and minutes to complete your booking. Additional time is allocated either side for travel and insurance of completion. The hours allocated by Gemma Morgan MUA, is the section of the day that is reserved for your booking. Gemma Morgan MUA reserves the right to take other bookings around your allocated time. Please note your booking is not for the full date booked. If you wish to have Gemma Morgan MUA services reserved for a full day this is an additional cost and is subject to availability. For a full day booking, please contact Gemma Morgan MUA.
Payments
Once a Booking has been confirmed, an invoice will be sent out via email. Your non- refundable booking fee will be required to be paid in full within 48 hours upon receiving as well as the percentage of deposit decided by Gemma Morgan MUA. On the week of the wedding, a reminder email will be sent stating when the final payment is due. If this payment is not made, Gemma Morgan MUA has the right to not attend the booking.
Payment types include direct deposit into nominated account. Should the direct deposit payment method be chosen, you are required to email gemmamorganmua@gmail.com a payment receipt provided to you by your bank. Final payment is to be made as a lump sum. There are no payment plans or split payments available.
If no booking fee or deposit is received after 48 hours, Gemma Morgan MUA reserves the right to book another wedding/client, unless original client can prove payment has been made.
Parking
In circumstances when parking fees apply, the client will be required to cover the charges when makeup services are being conducted, for example hotel parking and meter parking.
Personal Details
Gemma Morgan MUA requires information on whether the client has allergies. In no event, shall Gemma Morgan MUA have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, for example eczema, sensitive skin, and eyes.
To provide the best service to our clients, Gemma Morgan MUA may request personal details such as your name, address, telephone number and email address. This information is not disclosed with anyone outside of our business.
Photographs
Gemma Morgan MUA reserves the right to take photographic or film records of any makeup applications and may use any such photographs for promotional and/or commercial purposes - only with your consent, of course! Not every client will be posted for social media, however if clients do not wish to be posted on social media, this must be disclosed prior to the appointment.
Cancellation & Changes
If the original scheduled artist(s) are unable to attend the appointment on the scheduled booking date, every attempt will be made to replace them. However, if unsuccessful, the limit of liability is a full refund of all monies already paid for makeup and/or hair for the a^ected date only.
Prices are subject to change without notice. If you have already paid a non-refundable booking fee, then you will retain the rates invoiced at the time of booking. Except in the case your booking falls on a public holiday.
Gemma Morgan MUA will then reserve the right to add the public holiday surcharge of 10%, with no exceptions.
Gemma Morgan MUA reserves the right to terminate a booking if at any time, for any reason the client/s or client’s representatives’ behaviour, actions or inactions causes distress to the artist.
Clients wishing to change the date of their trial, must give two weeks’ notice. Bridal trials require two weeks’ notice to cancel appointments, if less than two weeks’ notice is given clients forfeit their trial booking fee and may be charged an additional admin fee to change their trial date.
All clients are allowed two changes to their booking/invoice, excluding late notice changes and cancellations. An admin fee will be charged for additional changes required.
Gemma Morgan MUA reserves the right to refuse provision of services which are additional to those specified in the quote and not agreed on prior to the date of service.
Any reductions in the booked number of people for your wedding date will still be required to be paid if less than 12 weeks’ notice is given.
Illness & Changes
In the event of an illness a^ecting a makeup booking you have with Gemma Morgan MUA the below will apply:
• With more than 6 weeks’ notice and a medical certificate, one free change of date may be honoured, with no additional cancellation fees or chargers.
• Under 6 weeks’ notice, will incur additional admin fees, and bookings may be charged at any new rates in place at the time.
If you require an additional change of date above the one free move, an additional $100 admin fee will be added to your final invoice. Non-refundable booking fees will remain non-refundable with no exceptions. This includes if Gemma Morgan MUA is unfortunately unavailable for your new chosen date.
If you are unable to postpone your wedding or event and have chosen to cancel, a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice from your confirmed booking date is required to receive a credit for the balance paid (less non-refundable booking fee). This includes if your invoice has been paid in full. No refunds will be available.
