Services provide - The salon provides professional gel nail services (new gel sets, infills, and related care). - The salon provides professional acrylic removal only and does not apply new acrylic sets. If you request acrylic application, you will be referred elsewhere. B. The procedures - Gel services involve nail preparation, application of gel products and UV/LED curing. - Acrylic removal involves filing, soaking and manual removal techniques, which may require removal of surface layers of natural nail. C. Risks and possible side effects - Possible risks include nail thinning, brittleness, splitting, lifting, damage to the nail plate or surrounding skin, and temporary or permanent changes to nail appearance. - Allergic/contact dermatitis to nail products (including monomers, primers, adhesives and solvents) is possible. Allergies can occur even without prior known sensitivity. - Rarely, bacterial or fungal infections may occur if the nail or surrounding skin becomes broken or inflamed, see a medical professional if you suspect infection. - Results vary by individual. No guarantee is provided for a particular outcome. D. Aftercare and medical considerations - Aftercare advice (verbal and/or written) will be provided following it reduces risk of complications. - Inform the technician of medical conditions (pregnancy, diabetes, circulatory conditions, skin conditions such as eczema/psoriasis, immune suppression, or medications affecting healing). Certain conditions may make treatment inadvisable.  E. Refunds, corrections and complaints - Refunds will only be offered for clear, demonstrable errors in the service performed by Scarlet Nails staff. If you are unhappy, you agree to allow the salon the opportunity to correct the issue (e.g., remedial removal or repair) before a refund is considered. - Complaints should be raised during the appointment or within the timeframe below -Immediate concerns within 24 hours. -Non-urgent feedback within 7 days. - The salon reserves the right to refuse refunds or compensation where complaints are unfounded, inconsistent, misleading, or raised after the chosen timeframe. F. Liability and insurance The salon holds professional liability insurance. Insurance details will be provided in the event of a verified and legitimate claim upon formal request. The salons liability is limited to direct losses resulting from proven salon negligence and does not cover indirect or consequential losses. G. Clinical photographs and records (data use) Treatment photographs/videos may be taken and stored with your records for clinical purposes. These are retained in compliance with data protection law. Marketing use of images (social media, website) is optional and requires separate explicit consent below. Images used for marketing will aim to be non-identifying or anonymised where possible, but anonymity cannot be guaranteed in all images. H. Data protection (GDPR / UK data rules) We process personal data (name, contact details, medical disclosures, photographs) necessary to provide and document treatment. Our lawful basis for processing is consent for optional marketing images and our legitimate interest and contractual necessity for treatment records. You have rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability) under UK data protection law. For full details, ask for our privacy notice or see ICO guidance. I. Allergic reactions and medical emergencies If you experience irritation, swelling, blistering, intense redness, pus or other concerning symptoms during or after treatment, contact the salon immediately and seek medical attention if necessary. The salon can safely remove products if required, but cannot be held liable for adverse medical reactions to products unless caused by proven salon negligence. J. Agreement (All consent/understanding statements collected here). By signing at the end you confirm all statements in this document and bellow. I confirm I have read sections A - I and have had an opportunity to ask questions. I confirm I understand the salon provides gel services and acrylic removal only (no new acrylic sets). I confirm I have disclosed any relevant medical history, medications, pregnancy or conditions that may affect treatment. I confirm I have listed known allergies/sensitivities below (if any) I understand the risks, including possible allergic reactions and infections, and that outcomes are not guaranteed I understand the salon can provide or arrange safe removal if medically required, but the salon cannot be held liable for adverse medical reactions to products unless proven negligence occurred. I understand refunds will only be offered for clear errors and that the salon will be given the opportunity to correct the service before a refund is considered. I understand complaints must be raised during the appointment or within my selected timeframe (24 hours / 7 days - per above. I acknowledge that lack of satisfaction must be reported during the appointment or within the chosen timeframe complaints submitted later may not be eligible for correction or refund. I consent to treatment records and clinical photos/videos being stored securely as part of my client record. If not, I understand that I will have to fill this form in on every occasion/appointment. GDPR/data I have been given or offered the salons privacy notice and understand my rights under UK data protection law. I acknowledge and understand that the salon does not provide refunds for allergic reactions unless the reaction is due to proven salon negligence.
