Hi, I’m John, a licensed massage therapist serving the Camden SC area. I specialize in helping clients—especially those dealing with stress, tension, or chronic discomfort—feel better in their body and more relaxed in their day-to-day life. 

Many of my clients come in feeling tight, overwhelmed, or unsure of what they need—and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more at ease. 

I work with both men and women, and I understand that comfort, communication, and professionalism are especially important. That’s why I take the time to listen, adjust each session to your needs, and create a space where you can fully relax. 

Whether you’re dealing with muscle pain or just need time to unwind, your session is customized completely around you.

At Camden Massage Therapy LLC, your massage is provided in a professional, safe, and respectful environment. Your comfort, privacy, and boundaries will always be honored. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Massage therapy involves hands on techniques to address stress, tension, and musculoskeletal discomfort.

A typical session involves the application of pressure to soft tissues including muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Client will be properly draped at all times. Only the area being treated will be uncovered. 

Client has the right to stop the session at any time for any reason.

Client understands that this is a  professional service and that any inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and may be reported.

HEALTH AND SAFETY 

Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis. Please consult your physician for any health concerns. 

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any injuries, surgeries, medical conditions, allergies, or health changes.

Some conditions may require medical clearance from client’s physician or may be contraindicated for massage.

Massage may leave mild bruising, mild soreness, redness or skin irritation, mild swelling, fatigue or drowsiness,  headaches, lightheadedness, emotional release, increased urination and bowel movements, temporary changes in blood pressure, exacerbation of old injuries, and skin breakouts. 

THERAPIST DISCLOSURE

Client’s massage will be provided by John, a licensed massage therapist, trained in professional therapeutic bodywork. 

If client is uncomfortable receiving a massage from a male therapist for any reason, he/ she may request a referral or decline service without penalty.

COMMUNICATION 

Open and honest communication is encouraged before, during, and after each session. 

Client should communicate any discomfort, pressure preference, emotional sensitivity, or questions at any time as needed. 

Mutual boundaries are essential for a safe effective session.

CONSENT & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By booking an appointment, client agrees that he has read the preceding policies and agrees to adhere to this policy. 

Client also  consents to receive massage therapy from John at Camden Massage Therapy LLC, understands his rights and responsibilities,  agrees to release the massage therapist and facility from any and all liability for any injury or condition that may result from the massage therapy session except for gross negligence or misconduct.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled massage time so that we can start your massage on time. Camden Massage Therapy values the time of both our clients and therapists. Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time without penalty. Any cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment may result in a fee. 

John goes above and beyond. He does  a great massage and is professional and personable. I definitely would recommend Camden massage.

John listened to me before we started and was tender or avoided my sensitive areas like arthritis, without being reminded.  I asked for a relaxing massage rather than deep, and he was perfect.  The hot towels were a bonus! I will certainly rebook!

After a difficult and stressful week which resulted in headaches and knots in my shoulders and neck, my massage was the best blessing. John provides the best massage focusing on problem areas. His skill is perfect. The immediate relief I felt was amazing.

Been putting off getting a massage and glad I finally got one. Major back and shoulder issues and John got me on the right path. 

John did an excellent job, he had perfect pressure and was very respectful and conscientious about my level of comfort! 

I don't normally like the thought massages but I've had a long-standing "crick" in my neck that I can't seem to get rid of.  John was great at working at the site of my tension  as well as making me feel comfortable for  my first massage. My neck felt much better afterwards - I would definitely recommend him. 

John was very thorough. He asked questions prior to the massage and checked in while performing the massage.
The room was pleasant. The music was calming, the massage bed was nice and warm.
John did an excellent job at releasing some overly taxed muscles.

I went in stiff as a board and not able to walk due to sciatic nerve problems. John was able to get the tension out and I was able to walk better afterwards. I recommend him to anyone that need a massage. He can even see you after 1700.
