I hold a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronic Engineering from a reputable UK university where I developed a passion for problem-solving mathematics. I am an Airline Pilot for a major airline and teach mathematics to help youngsters succeed in their academic life and career! I am thoroughly acquainted with Edexcel, AQA as well as OCR syllabuses and have three years tutoring experience in both online and home lessons. I have helped children and adults improve their exam results by several grades!

Online Lesson or In-Person Lesson?

Although online lessons are effective, In-Person Lessons are far more impactful.

Online Lessons are not recommended  for students who are currently below a grade 5.

Online Lessons are not available for students currently  under grade 3.

A-Star Maths — Personalised Mathematics Tuition (AS/A-Level, GCSE Further, GCSE, Functional, 13+, 11+)

LATE CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOW POLICY

Online Lessons cancelled within 30 minutes or 
no-show* of the student will incur 50% charge.

In-Person Lessons cancelled within 60 minutes or
no-show* of the student will incur 50% charge.

1)	A no-show is considered when the student fails to have online presence within 15 minutes of lesson start time.

2)	A no-show is considered when there is no physical  presence of the student at the designated venue within 15 minutes of the lesson start time.

IN-PERSON lessons cannot be changed to ONLINE lessons or vice versa within 24 hours of lesson start times and vice versa. In cases where the booked lesson is no longer suitable for the student, the lesson will be cancelled in line with the late cancellation policy.

Consumption of any type of food items eg. snacks are prohibited. Drinks (hot or cold) are permitted for consumption during lesson.

Use of mobile phones (eg. for checking messages etc) or other devices for purposes other than strictly lesson objectives is not allowed.

Online Lesson Requirements:

Minimum Equipment for Online Lessons:

1)  A touchscreen device with a stylus input suitable for handwriting input on screen. If it is a device that does not have a stylus input suitable for writing, it must have an external graphics tablet / pen tablet input.  

2) A smartphone for video conferencing.
