Classically trained and with a 1st class (hons) degree in Vocal Performance, Director of Pop Chorus and experienced singer, Yula believes that the human voice is the most versatile of all instruments and can be used in many interesting ways. Experienced in several genres, her innovative and open-minded approach to teaching is borne out of an innate understanding of the voice and vocal production. This experience is based on a solid foundation and knowledge of vocal anatomy, classical techniques, and idiomatic interpretation that comes from years of singing and coaching in multiple styles. She is a member of the Association Of Teachers Of Singing and regularly undertakes CPD in contemporary vocal practise and theory, including becoming a Vocal Health First Aider in 2020.
