Acupressure
Acupressure is a natural ancient healing technique based on traditional Chinese medicine that involves applying gentle to firm pressure to specific points on the body, called acu-points. These points are believed to lie along energy pathways called meridians, which help regulate the body’s vital energy, or “qi.”
This treatment aims to relieve pain, reduce stress, and promote overall wellness. It is commonly used to treat headaches, muscle tension, anxiety, and fatigue. Unlike acupuncture, which uses needles, acupressure relies on fingers, palms, elbows, or special tools to apply pressure.
It is considered safe when performed correctly and can be used alongside other treatments.
