Acupuncture, a fundamental aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is a time-honoured, non-invasive technique that provides an entirely drug-free method for managing pain and various health conditions. With roots dating back centuries in China, its global popularity has surged in recent years as awareness of holistic health practices grows. Simple: • Acupuncture modifies energy flow through the body’s channels. • It enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself and restore balance. • It helps balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Complex: • Acupuncture triggers and modulates the release of encephalins and endorphins, which can alleviate myofascial pain by deactivating its source (Goldstein L., 2002). • It stimulates neurotransmitters related to stress, depression, and anxiety, promoting a calming effect on both body and mind.

Initial treatment

The "be activated / neuro-muscular body balance technique" is a treatment appropriate for everybody. It looks at a variety of chronic pain/issues caused by such activities as poor lifting habits, bad mechanics in a golf swing or tennis stroke or other sporting activities, or computer keyboarding. The emphasis of the activations is to stimulate the nervous system, and override defensive/compensation muscle patterns that usually makes the body stiff & tight. The treatment and process include teaching you a simple sequence of self-activation so that you will be able to self-activate for yourself whenever you need to. The correction of neuro-muscular issues increases an optimal & balanced performance, speeds up the rehabilitation procese and improves prevention of injuries.

The emphasis of the treatment is to stimulate the nervous system and override those defensive and compensation patterns that usually makes the body stiff and tight. The core principles are that before each activation of a specific "activation point" a measurement of the strength, flexibility and balance through a series of simple tests is taken what establishes baseline so you as a client are able to see, feel, and compare progress by re-tests post-activation. Acupressure

Acupressure

Acupressure is a natural ancient healing technique based on traditional Chinese medicine that involves applying gentle to firm pressure to specific points on the body, called acu-points. These points are believed to lie along energy pathways called meridians, which help regulate the body’s vital energy, or “qi.” This treatment aims to relieve pain, reduce stress, and promote overall wellness. It is commonly used to treat headaches, muscle tension, anxiety, and fatigue. Unlike acupuncture, which uses needles, acupressure relies on fingers, palms, elbows, or special tools to apply pressure. It is considered safe when performed correctly and can be used alongside other treatments.
