I have been taking my dog to Posh Paws for about 3 years now and I am always happy with the result and the service.  My dog is always eager to go in and looks like a different dog when he comes out!

Always a lovely trim and it’s quite clear that my dog is well looked after, he’s always happy to be dropped off.

Second time visiting and Buddy is a nervous dog but he was really looked after! He really needed a groom and wanted him ready for his summer walks so had him cut short let and he looks great! Would really recommend

Took my pup for her first groom and when she came out she was bouncy and happy which to me spells that she enjoyed the experience.  The only downside is that I don't want to walk her or do anything that gets her dirty as she looks so good and smells great.

Excellent set up, great customer experience and somewhere our dog loves going to time and time again.

Stephanie groomed my cockapoo Harley and he came out looking amazing! Harley is very anxious at the groomers but Stephanie gave some great tips about how to reduce this as much as possible by making drop off a quick and fuss-free process. Fantastic groom, would highly recommend! 

Had our first appointment yesterday. Steph came across very knowledgeable & professional during our text chat. I can admit I was a bit apprehensive about going to someone new, and leaving my boy. I had no reason to think like that at all! She was absolutely lovely, had a great salon and totally eased my mind. She asked me about any health concerns and was happy to do 1:1 .Bailey was cut beautifully and smelt amazing.   Thankyou 🐶🐶

Steph is just great with our dog who is slow to trust and has been able to work with him, and understand his personality. She's also great with nervous dogs, has a nice calm environment and doesn't force the process at all. We receive regular updates and photos and even had a timelapse video of my dog having his groom today which was excellent! If you are looking for someone who will get to know you and your dog as well as do a great cut, we would highly recommend Posh Paws!

Quick & easy  Maisie was happy and now smell lovely .

Our dog has been very well groomed by Stephanie. Always runs on time and very punctual. Our dog is quite anxious about a groom and Stephanie works hard to make her feel at ease.

Stephanie was very professional .  She made our Labrador at ease as he is sensitive to new environments.  When I picked him up his coat looked so much better so I would have no hesitation to recommend.

Trev doesn’t like groomers and is the a typical grumpy old Yorkie but he looks and smells great really pleased as it’s always difficult trying to find a good groomer and was very pleased to hear he behaved himself lovely setting and Stephanie was great with Trev 

Enzo and I felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. Both Steph and her colleague have exceptional attention to detail! Enzo has never been so smooth coated, fluffy and happy after a groom before and it put me right at ease, as he gets nervous easily. Will definitely be coming back!

This was the first time for Millie (Miniature Schnauzer) to be groomed at Posh Paws, but I have to say that the outcome is excellent, and Millie looks a delight. Steph's groom room is immaculately clean and well equipped, all in all a friendly and very professional service that I would highly recommend. In fact we have rebooked in 2 months time. Our beautiful boy Blue has had his first bath. We think this may be his first ever bath. Blue is a rescue and can be anxious with anything new. Stephanie was amazing. She took great care of our boy. We now have a very handsome, happy boy who smells amazing 😌🥰. Thank you Stephanie. See you next month.

Steph is such a patient groomer and loves on my dog like her own. She takes her time to build a connection and it shows. My dog isn't great with being groomed around his face and having his teeth cleaned but she works with him and doesn't go beyond what he can safely tolerate on the day. When I watch some of the videos she shares on Facebook of other dogs, mine jumps up as he recognises her voice and watches them with me! I think he loves her back!

Steph is excellent my dog came home looking really smart the main reason I use posh paws is I can see how relaxed and happy he is to be there he gets excited at the traffic lights as he know’s he’s going to visit is friend Steph and enjoys his groom and chews

Ruby’s first visit to Posh Paws of Davenham and didn’t disappoint. Ruby looks amazing and came out all happy also wearing the most cutest Bandana which was so lovely. My working cocker was badly in need of a groom, he can be a nervous boy with grooming after a bad accident a couple of years ago. He came out looking amazing and back to his old self and seemed to have loved every minute of his pamper!

My one year old labradoodle has his hair groomed today. He had quite long hair but Steph is not phased by a challenge. He looks and smells amazing! Highly recommended!!

Luna was very reluctant when she first went for her teeth cleaned but Stephanie worked hard to gain her trust and now she’s happy to have her treatment. Very happy with the service.

Posh Paws - absolutely fabulous! Friendly and reliable, and Stephanie certainly goes the extra mile for dogs who are scared or anxious. Advice is forthcoming and appreciated, and the salon is spotlessly clean and welcoming. The dog's bandana was a lovely touch, as was the photograph of the groomed pooch later that day. Our thanks to Stephanie, who is the only dog groomer we will use now.

As usual a great experience- Beth can be tricky as she is very timid but she loves going here and comes back gleaming and smelling gorgeous !

My dogs were a bit of a challenge today. They had got a bit matted.  
Steph was wonderful with them.

A regular grooming schedule is important to your dog’s health and happiness. 

Curly Coated Breeds - 6/8 weeks
Other Breeds - 8/12 weeks

A £15 fee will be applied for additional time / delays to the groom incurred by matting, behavioural issues, late arrival/pick up. 

If your curly coated dog’s hair is long and hasn’t been groomed regularly this fee will apply to cover the wear and tear of our equipment.

A soothing warm bath followed by a blow dry for short haired dogs. Nail trim included. Not suitable for Labradors or heavy shedders.

A soothing experience for your pup with our brand new massaging, deep cleaning bathing system. 

The pulsing jets invigorate tired muscles and help with skin conditions plus canine arthritis. 

Our bath & tidy option will include a light trim to the face and feet plus a hygiene and nail trim.

Our Mud Baths help remove dead coat, draw out impurities and remove dead skin cells.

Minerals in the mud

Mica - Improves the feel of the skin
Bentonite - A natural detoxing aid for the skin. Incredibly effective in breaking down excess sebum on the skin which can cause skin irritation.
Silica/Quartz - These minerals help rejuvenate the skin by moisturising and absorbing excess oil and sebum

Mud For Shedding
The mud helps moisturise the coat making for easier undercoat removal. During the massage process, the loosened coat will latch on to the mud and have easier removal when rinsing.

Mud For Sensitive Skin

Our mud is amazing for calming inflamed skin. Using natural healing powers found in quartz and bentonite clay, it soothes and rejuvenates the skin. Its will break down excess sebum and reduce itchiness.

Mud Bath

Our massaging bathing system will give the ultimate spa experience for your shedding pup. Gentle yet powerful jets will help release the dead fur, stimulate the muscles and improve the circulation of your Labrador, Bull Dog or Beagle breed. 

Not suitable for larger shedding breeds such as German Shepherds, Huskies or Golden Retrievers.

Light / Medium Deshedding 

This service is for medium breeds who are groomed on a regular schedule.

6-8 weeks for curly coats 
8-12 weeks for straight/short haired breeds

Large Breed 

If your dogs fur has become matted and unmanageable, the most humane way to treat the coat is to shave it short (under 2mm). Brushing out tight matts is painful and doesn’t make for a pleasant grooming experience. 

Matted coats can cause numerous health problems for your dog (skin infections & haematomas for example). 

Regular grooming sessions and daily brushing are necessary to avoid the need to be shaved off. We understand this is not always easy and sometimes unavoidable. 

This service is 3 hours long. 

It usually starts with clipping which can take more time than a normal groom. With the blade being so close to the skin we have to take extra special care not to cut the dog. Matting also causes damage to our equipment which is why we charge more. 

After the clip off, your dog has a warm bath and relaxing massage. 

Please book the next groom for 6-8 weeks time and discuss manageable lengths at your next appointment.
