Matted Coat

If your dogs fur has become matted and unmanageable, the most humane way to treat the coat is to shave it short (under 2mm). Brushing out tight matts is painful and doesn’t make for a pleasant grooming experience. Matted coats can cause numerous health problems for your dog (skin infections & haematomas for example). Regular grooming sessions and daily brushing are necessary to avoid the need to be shaved off. We understand this is not always easy and sometimes unavoidable. This service is 3 hours long. It usually starts with clipping which can take more time than a normal groom. With the blade being so close to the skin we have to take extra special care not to cut the dog. Matting also causes damage to our equipment which is why we charge more. After the clip off, your dog has a warm bath and relaxing massage. Please book the next groom for 6-8 weeks time and discuss manageable lengths at your next appointment.

Recommended every 3-4 weeks for high maintenance coats such as poodle crosses. An ‘inbetween groom’ No clipping Bath & Blow Dry Trim face and feet. Nail Trim. Puppy Groom (3-6 Months old)

Bonding time plus introduction to the salon and the equipment. Starting with a warm bath using sensitive puppy shampoo followed by a gentle blow dry, brush and light trimming of the head, eyes and feet. 2-3 monthly puppy grooms are recommended before a full groom. After 6 months please book the Full Groom Service that matches their current weight.

Ultrasonic Deep Clean (Initial Assessment)

80% of dogs have gum disease by the time they are 3 years old, taking 2 years off their life expectancy., Protect your dogs dental health with a regularly scheduled oral hygiene routine. We use state of the art technology which has no movement or vibration, offering a stress-free and pain-free experience for your dog. This initial treatment is for dogs with ‘build-up’. 2 to 4 follow up appointments are recommended to eliminate the plaque. This gentle treatment is suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages. Ideal for older dogs too as it can be done without anaesthesia. This treatment is recommended by many veterinarians and will save you money in the long term. Your canine friend will have his own ultrasonic toothbrush to eliminate cross contamination. Also included in the price of this initial consultation is an antibacterial gel that should be applied at home to speed up the process. We want your dog’s teeth squeaky clean as soon as possible!
