VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE-GENERAL

General Chore Volunteers assist with a wide variety of daily tasks that keep the sanctuary running smoothly. Your work directly supports the wellbeing of animals who have come to us from neglect, abandonment, or difficult circumstances. Whether you're sweeping a barn or refilling water buckets, your efforts help create the safe haven these animals deserve. Typical Duties May Include: Cleaning and refreshing stalls, pens, and shelters Filling and cleaning water troughs Feeding animals and distributing hay or produce Collecting eggs (when applicable) General sweeping, raking, and tidying of outdoor spaces Organizing supplies or restocking feed areas Assisting with small repairs or weather prep as needed Requirements: Must be comfortable working around animals such as, pigs, horses, sheep, chickens, dogs, and more Reliable, respectful, and ready to follow sanctuary safety guidelines

SANCTUARY EXPERIENCE

As you embark on our 50-minute volunteer, private experience you'll be enveloped in a personalized experience tailored to your desires. Our animals eagerly anticipate your visit, ready to be showered with treats, playfulness, and the affectionate attention they adore. Whether you wish to feed, frolic, or simply be present with our animals, each experience is a unique and intimate encounter. We provide nourishment for our animals, and while we offer food for your convenience, you're more than welcome to bring your own. And yes, young ones can experience the thrill of sitting atop our pony, provided there's a watchful adult nearby.

PONY RIDING EXPERIENCE

Every pony experience is a private, volunteer adventure, thoughtfully tailored to each child's interests and abilities. Through these experiences, we impart valuable knowledge, teaching proper tacking, horse care, and riding techniques. We prioritize safety, especially for our young riders, and we're equipped to provide helmets for children as well, ensuring that no child embarks on a ride without this essential protection. This program is designed to foster the love between children and ponies. We accept riders as young as 2 1/2. This service is based on a suggested donation and does not in any way imply, a fee must be paid to ride.

MORNING VOLUNTEER FEEDING (only at 8:00 M-F, only at 9:00, Sat. & Sun)

Start the day at the sanctuary with morning feeding – helping prepare meals, refilling water, distributing hay, and greeting our animals as they wake up and eagerly await breakfast. It's an energizing, hands-on way to support daily care and begin your morning surrounded by happy animals and fresh air.

EVENING VOLUNTEER FEEDING (only at 4:30 Mon- Sun)

As the day winds down, volunteers help with evening feeding, preparing meals, refreshing water, offering hay, and treats, and spending calm time with our animals as they settle in for the night. It's a peaceful, hands-on way to care for our residents and ending the day surrounded by happy munching and soft cuddles.

VOLUNTEER DUCK SNUGGLING

Enjoy a cozy 30 minute duck, snuggling session, holding, cuddling and spending quiet time with cheese, crackers, and their baby salami. These affectionate ducks love being cuddled and will happily relax in your arms while you connect with them up close. A sweet, calming experience for all ages – and a favorite for both volunteers and Ducks alike.
