Hi there! My name is Kiana Carter and I am the stylist behind Curls by Ki! 

I completed my training at The Paul Mitchell School and earned my Master Cosmetologist License. While I was in school, I began working at CurlEnvy Salon in Roswell as an assistant. I worked my way up to stylist shortly after receiving my license. As a fellow curly girl who had one too many bad haircuts, I knew specializing in curls was a way to help others heal their curl trauma and love their natural hair! 

I enjoy being able to take care of my clients' hair health, and making their curls look GORGEOUS!

Bookings are subject to approval and are not confirmed until accepted by Curls By Ki. By booking with Curls By Ki, you agree to these Policies & Terms. We require a card on file at the time of booking, and a cancellation fee of 100% of the appointment value may be charged for a late cancellation or no-show. Clients may cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours before the appointment; cancellations made after this window are subject to the applicable fee policy. If appointments are not confirmed within 24 hours of the appointment time, your appointment will be canceled.

A reasonable grace period may be offered where possible, but late arrivals may result in a shortened appointment or rescheduling at the business's discretion. Payment is due at the time of service and accepted payment methods may vary. Clients must provide and disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to their appointment.

Clients should arrive alone unless prior arrangements have been made with the business. No refunds are issued once a service has been completed. The business's liability is limited to the value of the service provided to the extent permitted by applicable law, and specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

I have not had my hair professionally done in about 10 years. And KI did an amazing job. I am so happy with my cut and color. She did exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning. 

I’m from Germany and was lucky enough to find Ki while I was here in America, and I couldn’t be happier with my hair! Ki is so sweet, welcoming, and truly knows what she’s doing. My hair looks so healthy and defined, and I’m beyond happy with how it turned out.

On my next trip to America, I’ll definitely be coming back to her to get my hair done again. I can’t recommend her enough!

I mean…where do I begin??? Kiana continues to be consistent with her “magic hands” when it comes to styling my hair. She’s always pleasant and gentle, and listens intently to what I want to achieve with my hair and makes it happen!

My daughter wanted hot pink highlights added to her hair. Not many stylists can do “vivid” color highlights., but she got it RIGHT! VERY few stylists are AMAZING with handling curls, especially curls belonging to teens (people) that are bi-racial or of several backgrounds.  Look no further than this salon! There is no reason to drive to Atlanta or the north side!  She is our new stylist and we will recommend her to anyone with curls.

I had SUCH a great experience- Ki is extremely personable, her space is super cute and comfy, and she really takes her time with the haircut. She listened to all of my concerns and brought my curls back to life! 

Mrs. Ki was amazing. We spent the entire appointment laughing about life while she softened the edges around a rough perm. She was so knowledgeable about curl care and made sure she walked me through each step for future curl care. I will for sure me going back to see her in a couple of months!!

I had the best experience with Ki. She killed it with my curl refresh and cut. I have never been to a curl specialist before , but I’m glad I did ! I will never trust anyone else but Ki with my hair cuts ever again. Ki did a fantastic job with walking me though the process as well. I already can’t wait to see her again in 4 months ! 

Lovely setting on 2nd floor with walls of windows looking into the trees.  Ki is very friently yet professional.  I have had so many bad haircuts by stylists who have no idea what to do with curly hair.  I showed Ki my Pintrest page of shag haircuts and she said "that is the first thing I thought of when you walked in".  She did a great job, very happy with the whole experience.

I had an awesome experience. I was ready to cut my long hair. I showed her different styles I liked and she did not disappoint me. I recommend her for curly cuts and styles.

I've never had someone cut my curls like that. It was almost as if she cut every single group individually, and with such precision and care. The atmosphere is inviting, warm, and friendly. A dry haircut intended for wavy, curly, and coily textures. This cut is meant to enhance the shape of natural curls. This service includes a dry cut, a wash, and a mini curl reset with a natural wet set/style. We also do additional shaping of the curls once they are completely dry. Price can vary.

Curly Haircut (New/Overdue Clients)

Enhance your natural curl pattern with a customized wash and style. At this appointment, we will cleanse and condition your hair, do a natural curly style, and dry your hair using a combination of the diffuser & hooded dryer to get your curls looking bouncy and polished.

Curly Wash & Style

This is just the dry curly cut, so we will not wash your hair or style it afterwards. I offer time for edits up to 2 weeks following your service.

For my clients who have bangs or fringe and need it shaped up between haircuts. Returning clients ONLY.

Bang Trim

This is required for color correction services. We will talk about your goals, concerns, and create a realistic game plan to get you to your desired color. We will also go over prices, maintenance, and what you'll be responsible for at home to ensure we reach your hair goals. Please come to your consultation knowing your hair history, such as previous color (at home or professional) and current products being used on your hair. Also, feel free to bring inspiration pictures, as they can help us get on the same page! Price of consultation goes towards color service. Deposit non-refundable.

Up to 8 years of age, may be charged for full cut and style depending on amount of hair. If styling is wanted, it will go as far as child allows, which may or may not include a full shampoo.

Eyebrow Tint

A lived-in color transformation! A lightening session that is custom and blended to give a lived in look. Perfect for a low-maintenance color! Price can vary.

Curly Balayage

This includes everything that comes with the Curly Wash and Style, along with a customized hands-on tutorial. You will learn the right products for your hair type, as well as the best method of application and drying. This will help you walk away with beautiful, frizz-free curls that you can confidently recreate at home.

Curly Wash and Style + Tutorial

Must be booked within 6 months of your previous cut. This is for returning clients ONLY. Price can vary.

Not required to book a color service. Book this to talk about any questions you have about color, or discuss options if your feeling indecisive!

A solid color transformation. This can only be achieved on virgin hair. Previous color on hair will require a color correction. Price can vary.
