Western Acupuncture/Dry Needling ~ 40 min

This 40 minute session only allows for a set number of muscles to be treated, please discuss with me further if you are after a larger treatment result. Western Acupuncture is a technique used by massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and other healthcare professionals to treat muscle pain, injuries, and dysfunction. I insert thin needles into trigger points or tight bands of muscle to stimulate the release of tension, improve blood flow, alliviate pain. And promote healing. Unlike chinese acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, Western Acupuncture is based on modern anatomy and physiology principles.

This 70 minute session allows for a treatment of all the muscles on one side of your body. ie laying face down- the neck, back, triceps, hips, hamstrings, calves, and feet; or laying face up- the temples, the shoulders, upper chest biceps, forearms, hips, quads, shins, and feet. Please discuss with me further if you are after a larger treatment result, or with Tom combin front and back in a smaller scale. Compared to "Therapeutic" and "Swedish Massage", Deep Tissue Massage involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This can be slightly uncomfortable with a low level of pain when tackling those problem areas.

For pregnancy from 12 weeks, up until the start of your labour. Pregnancy, or "Prenatal" Massage, is designed to meet your needs during pregnancy. It can be as light or as deep as you would like, very much listening to your needs during the session. Il If you are at risk of DVTs/blood clots etc, it is advised NOT to have a foot massage while pregnant. This is because the vigorous motion of the massage can physically cause a blood clot to loosen, potentially causing heart attacks or strokes if it.
